The 7th Sangguniang Panlungsod of Cabadbaran conducted its 49th Regular Session yesterday, July 15, 2026, presided over by Temporary Presiding Officer Councilor Lovejoy B. Quiambao.

During the proceedings, the City Council enacted a total of one (1) Sanggunian Resolution and one hundred seventy-six (176) Tricycle Franchise Sanggunian Resolution, reaffirming its commitment to responsive governance and the continued delivery of effective public service through meaningful local legislation.

In preparation for the upcoming State of the City Address (SOCA) 2026 of City Mayor Judy Chin Amante, a coordination meeting was held today, July 14, 2026, presided over by Councilor Judith P. Cueno, Chairperson of the SOCA 2026 Committee.

The meeting was attended by SP Secretary Karen Andrea Delgado, City Administrator Francis Denise Amante, CPD Coordinator Engr. Bernard Paul Teanio, CAIP Officer Atty. Erwin Mora, SPO Division Chiefs Jeho Rey Alfaro and Ronnie Bolonggaita, and MIS representatives.

Discussions centered on the overall preparations and coordination efforts to ensure the orderly and successful conduct of the activity as part of this yearโ€™s Charter Day Celebration. The committee also reviewed necessary operational arrangements to ensure that the event is carried out efficiently while considering the current circumstances.

The City Government of Cabadbaran, led by City Mayor Judy Chin Amante, through the City Health Office and with the support of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Cabadbaran led by City Vice Mayor Leo Dale A. Corvera, officially opened Buntis Fair 2026: โ€œPaindigay Ni Nanayโ€ today, July 14, 2026, at the Social Hall, Peopleโ€™s Government Center.

Representing City Mayor Amante, Ms. Crestin Joy B. Delos Reyes joined Committee on Health Chairperson Councilor Ruby Mae Christine Cong-Ayo and City Health Office OIC Dr. Mark L. Caseรฑas in the opening program, reaffirming the Cityโ€™s commitment to promoting safe motherhood and maternal health.

The ongoing activity features informative lectures on HIV/STI, Nutrition in Pregnancy, and Safe Motherhood, delivered by Aprilyn I. Laros, RMT, Melba J. Caldoza, RM, and Cathelyn L. Pino, RN, providing expectant mothers with valuable knowledge to support healthy pregnancies and overall well-being.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Cabadbaran conducted another Stakeholder Consultation Meeting on the Codification of the Cityโ€™s General Ordinances today, July 13, 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to develop a more organized, updated, and responsive body of local legislation.

The consultation focused on Book VI - Health and Book VII - Social Welfare and Services. Participants reviewed existing provisions, shared recommendations, and discussed possible improvements to ensure that the cityโ€™s ordinances remain responsive to the needs and welfare of the people of Cabadbaran.

The consultation served as an important venue for collaborative discussion and stakeholder participation, helping strengthen the codification process through meaningful input from concerned sectors and offices.
