Please be informed that ZAMSURECO II Buug Sub-Office has a scheduled power interruption to facilitate necessary line maintenance and improvements.

From Basalem, Buug to the Municipality of Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur

From Kumalarang Cut-out to Tubod, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur

🛠️ REASON FOR SHUTDOWN

The temporary power interruption is required for:

Right of Way Clearing along the affected backbone distribution line.

Insulator Replacement along the Basalem Recloser to Tubod, Lakewood distribution line.

🔔 IMPORTANT NOTE

Normal operations will resume immediately upon completion of the maintenance works. Please note that the restoration time may change depending on actual field conditions and circumstances.

POWER UPDATE: Super Health Center Buug 📢⚡

Please be informed that the Super Health Center in Buug experienced intermittent power interruptions (electricity going off and on) earlier today.

The power instability was caused by heavy foliage from a caimito (star apple) tree behind the building, where dense leaves and branches came into direct contact with the primary electric lines.

Our crew is currently on-site conducting troubleshooting and clearing/trimming operations. Rest assured that the team is working hard to safely clear the lines and ensure the swift restoration of stable power.

⚠️ POWER INTERRUPTION ADVISORY ⚠️

A power interruption is currently affecting portions of Diplo, Kumalarang, and Lakewood due to damaged/downed electric lines along the boundary of Sayao and Tinigiban, Kumalarang.

Repair work is currently ongoing to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

There is an ongoing power interruption affecting the areas from Kumalarang to Tubod, Lakewood.

Initial assessment conducted by our line crew revealed a broken pin-type insulator located in Buug. Repair and restoration activities are currently being undertaken to restore power at the soonest possible time.

Since Saturday, May 24, 2026, several power interruptions were reported in different areas of Kumalarang and Diplahan. Our line personnel immediately conducted continuous troubleshooting and restoration activities to locate and address the causes of the outages.

Most of the interruptions were caused by heavy wind and rain, as well as bamboo contact/collapse affecting our primary and secondary lines and equipment.

Below are the accomplished troubleshooting and restoration activities:

• Cause: Primary cutout near Tinigiban Cemetery affected by bamboo

• Restored at 5:24 PM

• Interruption started around 5:00 AM
• Restored at 11:00 PM
• Cause: Bamboo contact at Tamonan Fishpond area

Conducted maintenance and rehabilitation works along the Bayog to Sampoli line.

Accomplished activities include:
🌿 Line clearing operations
🔩 Replacement of 3 broken pin-type insulators
🪵 Rehabilitation of cross arms
⚙️ Replacement of damaged cut-out capacitor at Sampoli

These efforts are part of our ongoing commitment to improve line reliability, enhance system safety, and reduce unplanned outages in the area.

⚡ ZAMSURECO II BUUG ACTIVITY UPDATE ⚡

The ZAMSURECO II Buug Line Crew maximized the opportunity during the scheduled power interruption by the NGCP to conduct essential maintenance activities along the Poblacion Buug to Maganay feeder line.

The following works were accomplished throughout the day:
🌿 Right-of-way clearing
🔧 Line repair works
🔩 Replacement of pin-type insulators

These preventive maintenance activities are aimed at improving system reliability and minimizing future power interruptions in the area.
