On August 20, 2026, the OWWA Buug Satellite Office, located at the Ground Floor, Municipal Hall, PESO/Tourism Office, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay, successfully facilitated the checque release to qualified beneficiaries under various OWWA programs and services.

The beneficiaries came from Buug, Alicia, Talusan, and Olutanga, Zamboanga Sibugay, as well as Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur, who personally received their financial assistance and benefits.

The OWWA Buug Satellite Office remains committed to bringing OWWA programs and services closer to our OFWs, dependents, and beneficiaries in the communities, making assistance more accessible and strengthening our support to their welfare, protection and reintegration.

To our modern-day hero, OFW Jayca G. Sioco: Your sacrifices for your family will never be forgotten. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
Every Overseas Filipino Worker embarks on a journey fueled by immense courage and boundless love for their family. Today, we at OWWA pause to honor the life, struggles, and invaluable contributions of one of our own.
On June 19, 2026, our team from the OWWA Regional Welfare Office IX - Buug Satellite Office humbly visited Jaycaโ€™s wake in Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay, to pay our final respects following her tragic passing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We offered floral arrangements not just as a gesture of deepest sympathy, but as a symbol of our profound respect for the life Jayca lived as an Overseas Worker. Her journey was one of sacrifice, and we want her family to know that her efforts are recognized and honored.
To Jayca: We promise to stand by the loved ones you left behind.
During our visit, our representatives sat with her grieving family, listening to their hearts and providing moral and emotional support. We are closely assessing their situation to ensure they receive all the assistance and services OWWA can provide during this incredibly difficult chapter.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to her family for trusting OWWA and our partner agencies as we navigated her repatriation. Our commitment to the welfare of our OFWs and their families does not end in times of crisisโ€”it only grows stronger.

Hindi lamang mga puno ang ating itinanim kundi mga pangarap, pag-asa, at pagmamahal sa kalikasan. ๐Ÿ’š
Matagumpay na isinagawa ang "Puno ng Pangarap: OWWA Scholars Tree Planting & Recognition" noong Hulyo 11, 2026 sa Mt. Gampoy Peak, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Ang aktibidad na ito ay inialay para sa ating mga OWWA Scholars ng Zamboanga Sibugay mga kabataang may puso, pangarap, at determinasyong magtagumpay. Sa bawat punong kanilang itinanim, ipinakita nila ang kanilang malasakit sa kalikasan at ang kanilang hangaring maging mabuting halimbawa sa kanilang mga komunidad.
Kasabay ng pagkilala sa kanilang mga natatanging pagsisikap bilang mga iskolar, layunin din ng gawaing ito na patatagin ang kanilang kamalayan sa pangangalaga ng kapaligiran. Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang bawat punong kanilang naitanim isang simbolo ng mga pangarap na unti-unting lumalago tungo sa mas maliwanag na kinabukasan.

๐ŸšŒ Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Zamboanga Sibugay, sa pagbibigay ng bus na nagsilbing ligtas at maayos na transportasyon para sa ating mga OWWA Scholars ng Zamboanga Sibugay.
Sa ating mga OWWA Scholars, patuloy ninyong pangalagaan ang inyong mga pangarap tulad ng pag-aalaga ninyo sa mga punong inyong itinanim. Nawa'y magsilbi kayong inspirasyon sa inyong kapwa kabataan at maging huwaran sa pagtataguyod ng edukasyon, pagmamahal sa kalikasan, at paglilingkod sa bayan.
