103 4Ps Beneficiaries in Butuan Complete TESDA Skills Training, Mark First Culmination Event
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) – City Operations Office of Butuan, in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Caraga, successfully conducted its 1st Culmination Activity on April 24, 2026, at the Barangay Covered Court of Pigdaulan, Butuan City.
This milestone event recognized the active participation of 4Ps beneficiaries and the invaluable support of TESDA Caraga in strengthening their skills through trainings on Table Napkin Folding, Basic Skirting, and Support Nursery Works.
A total of 103 beneficiaries successfully completed the training, equipping them with practical skills for livelihood opportunities and improved economic resilience.
One of the beneficiaries, Maria Cristine Equibal, shared her heartfelt gratitude:
“Mapasalamaton ko nga niabot ni sa amoa nga training kay dako na kaayo ni’g tabang nga matagaan mi og skills or ma-enhance amoang nahibal-an tungod kay dako nani og impact sa among pangkinabuhian. Isa sab, makatabang mi o makapa-ambit mi sa among nahibal-an didto sa mga kaubanan namo nga mga 4Ps. Salamat, DSWD! Salamat, TESDA!”
Her words reflect the true essence of this initiative, not just learning, but sharing knowledge and uplifting one another within the community.
This activity highlights the power of convergence, where partner agencies work together to provide accessible opportunities for skills development, promote self-sufficiency, and uplift the well-being of 4Ps families.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) - City Operations Office of Butuan conducted its City Convergence Advisory Committee (CCAC) 2nd field visit today, April 22, 2026, in Brgy. Sumile, Butuan City, bringing essential government services directly to the community.
As part of this convergence effort, 4Ps beneficiaries are supported through strengthened linkages with partner agencies to ensure that their needs in education, health, livelihood, and social protection are addressed.
4Ps beneficiaries have accessed several essential services including PhilSys ID registration, vegetable seedling distribution, and free legal aid, alongside orientations on scholarships, utility lifelines, and micro-enterprise development.
CCAC, a local coordinating body where various government agencies and stakeholders gather and work together to align efforts and deliver services more efficiently to those who need them most.
Present during this visit was Butuan City’s Sangguniang Panlungsod and Committee Chairperson on Labor, Employment and People’s Participation, Ferdinand Nalcot, Barangay Captain, Oscar Geraldo, and representatives from various agencies and offices including Commission on Higher Education, Philippine Statistics Authority, Department of Education, Commission on Human Rights – Caraga, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority–Butuan, ANECO, Parent Leaders Federation, Family Federation for World Peace, and the city’s Health, Agriculture, Tourism, Housing, and Social Welfare and Development offices.
This initiative highlights how convergence empowers 4Ps families toward improved well-being and sustainable development and reflects a shared commitment to make services more accessible, inclusive, and responsive to every community.

Nahitabo Karon: Angels in Red Vest on Duty!

Human sa linog nga nagkuyog sa atong lugar, ang mga Red Vest Angels (Social Workers) sa 4Ps Butuan naghatag sa ilang tabang pinaagi sa Psychological First Aid (PFA) ug Orientation para sa mga magtutudlo sa Maon Integrated School.

Uban sa giya sa usa ka Registered Psychometrician, ang aktibidad gituyo aron matabangan ang mga magtutudlo nga mabalik ang emosyonal nga balanse ug kaisog taliwala sa mga nahitabo. Kay bisan sila nga nagserbisyo — ang atong mga magtutudlo — angay usab makabati sa pag-atiman ug paggiya.
