Bislig City, SDS โ DICT-Caraga's Surigao del Sur Provincial Office hosted the SPARK Graduation Ceremony: General Virtual Assistance 2.0 on May 20, 2026, at the Digital Transformation Center in Bislig City, honoring twenty-eight (28) SPARK scholars who completed intensive training in digital skills and freelancing.
Implemented in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Bislig City, the program developed scholars' skills in virtual assistance, AI applications, social media management, communication, and online freelancing. Of the Twenty-Eight (28) scholars, Twenty-Five (25) were deemed competent. Six (6) scholars secured online jobs during the campaign, generating verified earnings totaling more than One Hundred Three Thousand Pesos (โฑ104,298.69).
Mayor Florencio C. Garayโs message, delivered by Assistant City Administrator Jerson Coma, celebrated local government support for digital literacy and freelancing in Bislig. Vice Mayor Conrad C. Cejoco stressed the need to equip locals with digital skills for livelihoods and economic growth, while DICT-Caraga Director Mario P. Cuรฑado reaffirmed the commitment to nurturing the regionโs digital workforce.

The SPARK Graduation Ceremony strengthened collaboration among DICT-Caraga, LGU Bislig City, partner organizations, and local freelancing communities, inspiring sustainable digital workforce initiatives for Surigao del Sur's future.
