The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Manila de Bugabus, in partnership with the BCCHS Red Cross Youth, successfully conducted a Two-Day First Aid Training on July 18โ19, 2026, at the Sta. Cruz Covered Court, Barangay Manila de Bugabus, Butuan City.
The activity was spearheaded by Engr. Jeshrel Aguinaldo, Red Cross First Aider and BCCHS Red Cross Youth Adviser who facilitated comprehensive discussions and demonstrations on essential first aid principles and life-saving techniques.
The first day focused on lectures and demonstrations covering various first aid procedures, equipping participants with fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively during emergencies.
On the second day, participants underwent practical assessments where they applied the techniques they had learned. The training concluded with an awarding ceremony recognizing participants for their outstanding performance and excellence in different areas of first aid.
The Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson of Barangay Manila de Bugabus expressed heartfelt gratitude to the BCCHS Red Cross Youth, Engr. Jeshrel Aguinaldo, the facilitators, volunteers, and all participants for contributing to the success of the activity. The SK also looks forward to reaching even more participants and continuing this meaningful initiative in the years to come, further strengthening community preparedness and promoting a culture of safety and volunteerism.
