Gipangunahan ni Councilor Victor Vicente G. Plaza ang Committee hearing sa Committee on Environment and Natural Resources karong adlawa, Agusto 8, 2022 nga gipahugayun sa SP session hall.

Nahisgutan sa hearing ang gipasa sa Barangay Pigdaulan nga Barangay Resolution nga nagahangyu sa Sangguniang Panlungsod nga tugotan ang maong Barangay nga pamutlon ang mga falcata trees duol sa covered court.

Matud pa ni Barangay Kapt. Dindo Hidalgo, kinahanglan na kining pamutlon arun mas makatubo pa ang mga native trees nga nanubo ilalom sa Falcata trees sama sa Narra. Nagguol usab si PB Hidalgo sa sitwasyon sa covered court tungod kay hinay-hinay na kining giguba sa maong mga punoan.

EMERGENCY PRESS RELEASE

Date: August 7, 2022

Period of Interruption: Starting today until resumption of the operation of the facilities at the source.

Reason: Temporary shut off of the facilities at the water source located at Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala due to the heavy rain resulting to flashflood affecting the Taguibo Watershed.

Areas Affected: Entire service area will experience low water pressure while end points of the system may be waterless.
For areas that still have water in their faucets, we urge our concessionaires to store water. However, we are advising concessionaires that have water in their faucets, not to drink the water directly from taps as a safety precaution. Concessionaires may use boiled tap water for drinking and cooking purposes.

Gipangunahan ni Councilor Vincent Rizal Rosario ang Committee on Transportation and Traffic Management nga gipahigayun sa SP Session Hall.

Nahisgutan sa deliberasyon ang proposed ordinance para sa smoke belching ug unsaon sa mga personahe sa City Environment and Natural Resouces Office (CENRO) ang pag apply sa maong balaud ngadto sa mga makalapas niini.

Gusto usab ni LTTMO Chief P/Maj. Peter Paul Manatad nga mahatagan ug silot ang mga abusadong enforcers nga dili ibutang ang insaktong pagpanglapas sa driver ngadto sa citation ticket.

IN THE KNOW: BUTUAN CITY'S CRIME VOLUME HAS DECREASED SIGNIFICANTLY

In a comparative data analysis, during the first Semester (January to June) of years covering 2016, 2017 and 2018, the crime volume went down significantly. This is made possible by the concerted effort and collaboration between the Butuan City Police Office, Butuan LGU, the different Barangays and more importantly through the cooperation of the community.

We may not attain a perfect society that is crime-free but our authorities are serious in trying to make our city safe, secure and livable.

[Adm-01] Fortun tops RMN survey

Congressional front runner Vice Mayor Lawrence “Law” Fortun again topped the recent survey conducted by Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) Research Division from October 23-26, 2012 in selected barangays in this City.

Fortun garnered a comfortable preferential rating of 74% from among the congressional candidates for the 1st District of Agusan del Norte (Butuan City and Las Nieves). He was followed far behind by a former NFA Administrator who got 16% and the incumbent IBP national president who only got 10% rating. Also in the said survey, incumbent City Mayor Ferdinand M. Amante, Jr. edged out Rep. Jose "Joboy" Aquino as the top choice in the mayoralty race. Amante garnered a preferential rating of 62% over Aquino’s 32% rating.

The survey, which is periodically done by RMN Research, initially aimed at conducting an audience research study nationwide to measure the listenership levels in areas where it operates a station whether in the AM and FM band. “This coming year 2013 being an election year, the studies are to be conducted together with a poll opinion survey if only to provide talking points in the broadcast outlets of RMN,” the survey said. The survey added that one of the objectives of the survey was to “measure the popularity level of candidates vying for national as well as local elective positions in the May 13, 2013 mid-term elections.” “The respondents of the survey came from radio households (HH) chosen systematically employing interval sampling. Households not included at all are those with members employed in sensitive occupations such as those connected with media companies such as Radio, TV and Print publications including relatives and fan club members. Households with members identified as political supporters of any candidate are also not included as respondents,” the survey indicated.

Fortun also made a strong showing in a separate survey conducted by 95.1 Love Radio Butuan for which he garnered a rating of 71.15% and followed far behind by the other candidates with 22.12% and 6.73%, respectively.
