Representatives from D. O. Plaza Memorial Hospital collaborated with ADNPH as they did a benchmarking activity in iHOMIS +implementation in ADNPH . Everyone engaged in peer to peer exercises focusing on alignment of protocols from manual to automated modules in admission, billing, discharge and philhealth eclaims systems. IT unit head Mr. Jesson Acido shared the best practices of the hospital regarding the iHOMIS+ implementation.

Today, we officially launched the 52nd Nutrition Month at ADNPH with a powerful reminder: Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan! 🌍🥦

Our Dietary Section Supervisor, Rowena E. Cassion-Gomez, RND, led an insightful presentation highlighting the urgent connection between our environment and our health. She emphasized how climate change and environmental degradation directly threaten our food security—not just by making food harder to access, but by reducing the actual nutrient density of the crops we depend on.

The call to action is clear: We must shift toward sustainable, resilient food systems that are not only nutritious and affordable but also environmentally responsible.

To bring this message to life, we are excited to announce two fun, hospital-wide challenges:

1️⃣ The Eco-Snack & Sip Cook-Off Challenge: A showcase of climate-smart meryenda and refreshing drinks made from local ingredients, emphasizing zero-waste preparation and plastic-free serving!

2️⃣ The "Puno ng Nutrisyon" Green Division Challenge: A month-long inter-departmental gardening competition. Each division will transform "hospital waste" into a thriving mini-nursery, nurturing nutrient-dense crops like kalabasa, okra, kangkong, pechay, and batong from seed to seedling.

To cap off the morning’s program, the Dietary Section treated our hardworking staff and valued clients to a warm, delicious, and healthy Chicken-Macaroni Soup. 🥣✨

Today, we officially launched our Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Celebration, a meaningful reminder that preventing infections is everyone's responsibility.

Our healthcare workers and hospital personnel helps to strengthen our commitment to patient safety through learning, collaboration, and shared responsibility. We were honored to hear valuable insights from our Adult Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Arlyn Awing, who emphasized the vital role of every healthcare worker in preventing healthcare-associated infections and promoting a culture of safety.

Through active participation, teamwork, and compliance with safety protocols, our healthcare workers and staff demonstrated readiness and resilience in responding to earthquake emergencies. This activity highlights the hospital’s dedication to ensuring the safety of patients, employees, clients, and visitors during and after disaster situations.
