“In line with the upcoming 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the Police Regional Office 13 (PRO13) has implemented comprehensive security preparations and operational readiness to ensure the continued maintenance of peace and order across the region. A total of 2,913 PRO13 personnel will be deployed regionwide to secure the SONA, comprising personnel assigned to checkpoint operations, traffic route security, police patrolling, Quick Response Teams (QRTs), medical teams, Civil Disturbance Management contingents, and other support units strategically positioned to ensure public safety and operational efficiency throughout the event.

All police units have been placed on Full Alert status, with intensified police visibility, intelligence monitoring, and close coordination with local government units, partner agencies, and other stakeholders to promptly address any security concerns.

PRO13 personnel are fully prepared to respond with professionalism, maximum tolerance, and strict adherence to establish PNP protocols, thus to ensure public safety while respecting the constitutional rights of individuals to peacefully assemble. PROJECT A.B.K.D. (AWARENESS OF BOMBS THAT Kill LIVES AND DESTROY PROPERTIES) IN ACTION: PROTECTING BUTUANONS THROUGH BOMB AWARENESS EDUCATION

In line with the PNP Focus Agenda, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel from Regional Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit 13 (RECU 13) Butuan CECU successfully conducted a proactive security advocacy operation.

This mission directly advances the Group's institutional commitment to public safety, community engagement, and the institutionalization of the PNP's best practices in target-hardening commercial establishments.

Butuan CECU personnel led by PEMS Dennis B Duro, Team Leader, conducted the comprehensive Project A.B.K.D. (Awareness on Bombs that Kill lives and Destroy properties) lecture tailored specifically for the management employees, commercial tenants, and organic security personnel of the Robinsons Place Management.

By equipping the mall's frontline personnel and security forces with the technical knowledge to recognize suspicious packages and systematically manage threat reports, the lecture effectively enhanced the commercial hub's internal defense capabilities. The activity concluded successfully, reinforcing public-private synergy in pre-empting explosive-related incidents.

Demonstrating unwavering commitment to public safety, PNP-EOD/K9 Group personnel successfully conducted a disposal operation of 269 recovered and surrendered Unexploded Ordnances (UXOs), Explosive Remnants of War (ERWs), and other explosive materials from the CALABARZON area at CERAB, Crow Valley, Capas, Tarlac.

This operation reflects the Group’s continuing mission to eliminate explosive threats and ensure safer communities through professionalism, precision, and dedication to duty.
