BUTUAN CITY –The Agusan del Norte Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) conducted its 3rd Quarter Meeting for CY 2026 on 06 August 2026 at the Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City, bringing together key government agencies and stakeholders to discuss the province’s current peace, order, and security situation.
The meeting featured updates and reports from various government agencies, including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) – 402nd Infantry “Stingers” Brigade, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Department of Education (DepEd), and Provincial Health Office (PHO).

The 402nd Infantry “Stingers” Brigade, Philippine Army presented updates on its recent activities, key accomplishments, and other security concerns following the declaration of Agusan del Norte as a Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) area.
The meeting also highlighted the continuing efforts of government agencies in maintaining peace and order, strengthening public safety, addressing illegal drugs, ensuring fire safety compliance, responding to school-related concerns, and monitoring prevailing health issues.

Meanwhile, Hon. Maria Angelica Rosedell M. Amante, Governor of Agusan del Norte, reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s commitment to ensuring that government programs and projects intended for Friends Rescued (FRs) are properly implemented and delivered to the beneficiaries. She emphasized the importance of sustained government assistance in helping FRs and their families build a stable, peaceful, and productive future.

BUTUAN CITY –The 402nd Infantry (Stingers) Brigade, Philippine Army, led by BGEN EDMUND PAUL R. DELOS SANTOS PA, joined the Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte and partner agencies during the Ceremonial Turnover of Ten (10) Housing Units for Friends Rescued (FRs) on 07 August 2026 at Sitio Talaganahaw, Barangay Talao-ao, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.

The activity brought together key partners, including MGEN MARION T. ANGCAO, PA, Commander, 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division; BGEN FREDERICK A. ANCHETA, PA, Commander, 52nd Engineer Brigade; representatives from the PNP, local government units, and other partner agencies whose collective efforts contributed to the realization of the housing project.

The housing units, funded under the General Fund of the Province of Agusan del Norte CY 2025, provide the beneficiaries with safe and decent homes as they rebuild their lives after choosing to surrender and embrace the path of peace. The occasion highlighted the FRs’ new beginning, with the beneficiaries visibly happy as they gathered with their families in their new homes.

Hon. Maria Angelica Rosedell M. Amante, Governor of Agusan del Norte, reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s commitment to ensuring that government programs and projects intended for Friends Rescued (FRs) are properly implemented and delivered to the beneficiaries. She emphasized the importance of continued assistance in helping FRs and their families build a stable, peaceful, and productive future.

The successful completion of the housing units reflects the collective effort and unity of the government, security forces, LGUs, and other stakeholders. Through this whole-of-nation partnership, the beneficiaries are given not only a home, but also renewed hope and an opportunity to live peacefully with their families.

The 402nd Infantry Brigade remains committed to supporting programs that promote peace, reintegration, family welfare, and sustainable development for Friends Rescued and their communities.
