The journey begins as the youth of Barangay Maon gather for Linggo ng Kabataan 2026—a celebration where friendship is strengthened, talents are discovered, and unity becomes the greatest source of strength. Throughout this 3-days of friendly competition, every challenge becomes an opportunity to grow, every victory is earned through teamwork, and every moment shared creates memories that will last beyond the games. Side by side with friends, neighbors, and fellow youth, participants will push their limits, encourage one another, and embrace the values of sportsmanship, respect, and resilience.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) was held to help children learn God’s Word, grow in their faith, and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Bible lessons, worship, interactive activities, and fellowship, the program aimed to instill Christian values and guide the children in their spiritual growth in a fun and meaningful environment.

A joyful and faith-filled Vacation Bible School (VBS) was successfully conducted as a whole-day event under the leadership of the Doongan Assemblies of God and held at Sabordo’s Residence.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the teachers and workers of Doongan Assemblies of God for their love, patience, and unwavering dedication in nurturing the children of Maon through God’s Word, meaningful activities, worship, and fellowship. Your commitment has greatly inspired and touched many young hearts. May the Lord continue to bless your ministry abundantly.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Sabordo family for generously allowing their residence to be used as the venue for this ministry. Your kindness and hospitality have greatly contributed to the success of the VBS and the ongoing Bible studies. May the Lord bless your home abundantly for your generosity and support.

Children’s Bible study will continue every Saturday at 1:30 PM onwards.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Maon proudly presents the newly purchased laptop, computer set, and printer for the SK Office — a significant step towards improving the efficiency and quality of our services, reports, and youth-centered programs.

Before acquiring these essential ICT equipment, the SK Council experienced numerous challenges in accomplishing reports, proposals, documentation, and other deliverables. The council heavily relied on borrowing laptops and computer units from others and had to seek outside printing services just to meet submission deadlines and complete important office tasks. Despite these limitations, the council remained committed to fulfilling its responsibilities and continuing its service to the youth and the community.

This achievement reflects the SK Council’s dedication to continuous improvement, responsible governance, and providing better service for the youth of Barangay Maon. With these new tools, the council is more prepared than ever to implement future activities and deliver more efficient and effective programs for the community.

The Sangguniang Kabataan remains committed to working towards progress, innovation, and youth empowerment through better facilities and strengthened public service.

Last May 6, 2026, selected members of the Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Barangay Maon proudly participated in the “Go Green Skills for the Future: Empowering Youth Through Sustainable Living and Entrepreneurship” seminar. Representing the council were SK Kagawads Semaña and Cagas, who actively engaged in discussions and learning activities focused on sustainable planting, environmental awareness, and youth entrepreneurship.

The seminar served as an avenue for the participants to gain valuable knowledge and practical skills that promote environmentally responsible practices and innovative livelihood opportunities for the youth. Through this experience, the SK Council continues to strengthen its commitment to promoting sustainable initiatives and empowering young people in the community.

The SK Council extends its gratitude to the organizers for providing meaningful learning opportunities that inspire the youth to become active contributors toward a greener and more sustainable future.
