Congratulations, dear Alumna 🎉

𝗦𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗻𝗮’𝘀 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

In a small farming community, where the soil bore the fruits of labor and love, a seed of ambition quietly sprouted in the youngest of nine siblings. Through these humble roots, a remarkable harvest emerged—Gerabelle Lincuna, who reaped a victorious fear by ranking ninth among the passers of the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) Elementary level, shining with an impressive rating of 92.40%.

Her narrative demonstrated how humble beginnings can give birth to remarkable aspirations. Lincuna discovered her passion early in life, from looking up to her teachers to getting ideas from her sister, who is also in the field of education. "Hearing a child say, 'Oh, so that's how it works!' during a lesson brings a smile to my face," she said, recalling the little pleasures that fanned her passion for teaching.

Yet, her path to success has always been a challenging one. As a graduate with Latin honors, Lincuna's pressure intensified as the licensure exam was nearing. In an effort to succeed, Lincuna enrolled in a review centre with the support of a scholarship to ease financial strain. But the journey was not a smooth one with the most prominent obstacle being the fact that her self-confidence was heartily tested when she failed her mock exam. She acknowledged having moments of doubt but kept believing in her ability to succeed.

Rather than succumb to fear, Lincuna embraced these challenges as opportunities for growth. Resilience served as her foundation as she adopted a mantra of consistency. Her parents, committed to support her dreams, rented out their land to fund her review, a sacrifice she deeply cherishes.

Time management and focus became her strongest allies. Embracing innovation, Lincuna utilized a study app to keep her disciplined and stay on course. “It reminded me to stay focused and made a big difference,” she shared. With her parents’ heartfelt sacrifices and her relentless determination, she cultivated her dreams with steadfast diligence, letting nothing deter her from her goal.

When the results of the licensure exam were announced, the name of Gerabelle Lincuna was one of the stars of excellence. She soared to ninth place—a moment she fondly describes as “being on cloud nine.” At first, disbelief veiled her elation, as she initially thought her classmate was joking about her making it to the top. However, it was at that very moment, when her instructor confirmed the fact, that the mist of doubt went away, revealing her labor in the grandest way.

Today, Lincuna's achievement has reshaped her perspective on her capabilities. It instilled in her the values of persistence, seeking help when needed, and learning from missteps. Securing a top spot has fostered confidence and inspired her to set higher goals for the future. “Challenges are part of the journey, but consistency, hard work, and belief in yourself will take you far,” she advised aspiring teachers.

From the fertile fields of her simplicity to the towering heights of academic excellence, Gerabelle Lincuna’s story is a dazzling beacon of hope and inspiration. Her journey displayed how dreams, sown with hard work and nourished with love, can bloom into extraordinary realities, proving that with patience and perseverance, even the smallest seeds can yield a bountiful harvest.
