Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur (CGSSDS) personnel actively participated in the 1st Day of the 3-Day Marine Protected Area (MPA) Network Planning and Design Workshop held at the CENRO Bislig Office, Espiritu Street, Mangagoy, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.
The workshop brought together concerned stakeholders and partner agencies to strengthen collaboration, enhance the planning and management of Marine Protected Areas, and promote the sustainable conservation and protection of the provinceโ€™s valuable coastal and marine resources.
The Philippine Coast Guard remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote maritime safety, environmental protection, and sustainable coastal resource management within its Area of Responsibility.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š | The Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur (CGSSDS), through its Station Commander, Ensign Mark Rudolf G. Garcia PCG, paid a courtesy call to Hon. Florencio C. Garay, City Mayor of Bislig, at the Bislig City Hall, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.
The courtesy call served as an opportunity to strengthen coordination, foster stronger collaboration, and reinforce the partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard and the Local Government Unit of Bislig City in promoting maritime safety, security, environmental protection, and public service within the community.
The CGSSDS remains committed to working hand-in-hand with local government partners and other stakeholders in ensuring the safety and well-being of the people of Surigao del Sur.

Garcia PCG, Station Commander, Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur (CGSSDS), attended the 3rd Quarter City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) Full Council Meeting held at the Session Hall, Barangay San Fernando, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.
The meeting brought together various national and local government agencies and stakeholders to discuss important matters concerning disaster preparedness, response, prevention and mitigation, and recovery efforts within the city.
The participation of CGSSDS highlights the Philippine Coast Guardโ€™s commitment to strengthening inter-agency coordination and ensuring a whole-of-community approach toward a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready Bislig City.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: The men and women of Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte under the helm of the Station Commander Lieutenant Junior Grade Roy Christopher R Orillaneda PCG along with the Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao (CGDNEM) Operational Control (OPCON) Units and 1503rd PCGA Squadron jointly participated in the commemoration of Surigao Cityโ€™s 56th Charter Day Anniversary Celebration with this year's theme, "New Mission. New Vision. New Surigao" held at Surigao City Hall Grounds today, 31 August 2026.
The event was spearheaded by the City Government of Surigao which was attended by the different National Agencies, Socio Civic Groups, Educators, Business Sectors and other Stakeholders showcasing the festive, vibrant and collective strength of the Surigaonons through a series of meaningful and colorful activities, including the flag raising ceremony, civil military parade, foot parade, parade of assets and float parade wherein each event highlighted the cityโ€™s pride, progress and rich culture while also reflecting the unwavering commitment of its people to community development and solidarity.
The abovementioned occasion serves as a meaningful reminder of Surigao Cityโ€™s remarkable transformation and the collective efforts of its people, government institutions, uniformed services, private organizations and community partners in building a safer, stronger and more progressive Surigao City.
The active participation of the PCG-CGS SDN in the said event exemplifies the unitโ€™s strong commitment in supporting Local Government Units (LGUs) fostering closer inter-agency cooperation and strengthening public trust in PCG programs as well as initiatives within its area of responsibility.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: In line with commitment to promote maritime safety, security and marine environmental protection, the Coast Guard Sub-Station Mainit led by Petty Officer First Class Ryan B Galgo PCG with the direct supervision of the Station Commander Lieutenant Junior Grade Roy Christopher R Orillaneda PCG successfully conducted a Safety, Security and Environmental Numbering (SSEN) Caravan held at Brgy. Magsaysay, Mainit, Surigao del Norte on 01 September 2026.
The activity was conducted in collaboration with Coast Guard Weapons Communications, Electronics and Information System - Northeastern Mindanao Regional Center (CGWCEIS-NEM RC) and close coordination with Municipal Agriculturist Office (MAO) to strengthen the implementation of maritime safety and environmental protection measures within the area of responsibility, particularly among local fisherfolk and boat owners wherein the activity aimed to ensure that fishing boats and other watercraft are properly identified, documented and compliant with applicable safety, security and environmental requirements.
Through this activity, PCG-CGS SDN continues to work closely with local government units and stakeholders in fostering a culture of maritime safety, environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance within the Municipality.

๐ˆ๐ ๐๐‡๐Ž๐“๐Ž๐’ | Coast Guard Sub-Station Barobo (CGSS Barobo) personnel actively participated in the 126th Civil Service Anniversary Celebration Fun Run, together with personnel from various National and Local Government Agencies.
The activity was held at Purok 1A, Poblacion Proper, Barobo, Surigao del Sur, with the Barobo Municipal Gymnasium serving as the venue.
The fun run promoted camaraderie, physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among government employees, while strengthening unity and cooperation in the spirit of public service.
Through active participation in community and government activities, the Philippine Coast Guard remains committed to fostering strong partnerships and promoting a culture of service, dedication, and excellence.
