๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐: Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to operational excellence and emergency preparedness, Coast Guard Station Agusan del Norte (CGS ADN), under the leadership of Ensign Mark John M Relox PCG, in partnership with the Coast Guard Nursing Service Sub-Unit Northeastern Mindanao (CGNSSU-NEM), successfully conducted the First Batch of the Two-Day Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for Coast Guard Station Agusan del Norte personnel and Barangay Personnel of Barangay Baan Riverside, Butuan City.
Conducted from 27 to 28 July 2026 at the Covered Court, Barangay 20, Baan Riverside, Butuan City, the training brought together 24 dedicated participants united by a common goal to strengthen their competence and readiness in responding to medical emergencies and life-threatening situations.
Throughout the two-day program, participants immersed themselves in comprehensive lectures, hands-on practical exercises, and realistic emergency simulations designed to sharpen their decision-making and life-saving capabilities. They enhanced their proficiency in delivering high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway management, patient assessment, and other critical interventions essential to providing immediate and effective emergency care.
Beyond developing technical skills, the training fostered teamwork, strengthened inter-agency collaboration, and reinforced the importance of preparedness, discipline, and decisive action during emergencies. Each exercise served as a reminder that every second counts and that well-trained responders can make the difference between life and death.
Anchored on the theme, " Equipping Lives with Skills. Preparing Personnel for Duty", the successful completion of the first training batch reflects CGS ADN's continuing commitment to building competent, resilient, and mission-ready responders. Through initiatives like this, the station remains steadfast in empowering its personnel and community partners with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to safeguard lives, protect communities, and uphold the Philippine Coast Guard's enduring commitment to public service.
