📍 Location: 1,360 km East of Northeastern Mindanao (Outside PAR)
💨 Winds: 45 km/h | Gusts up to 55 km/h
🧭 Movement: Almost stationary

📌 Forecast:
• May enter PAR on Thursday (28 May) and will be named DOMENG
• May intensify into a Typhoon by Saturday (30 May)
• Less likely to make landfall but may affect Extreme Northern Luzon
• Possible raising of 🌊 Gale Warning by weekend
• Expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon starting Saturday

Sumala sa PAGASA, wala pa’y direktang epekto nga gilauman sa Buenavista sulod sa sunod 3 ka adlaw. Posible nga mosulod kini sa PAR karong Sabado ug paganganlan og “Caloy.”

The MDRRMO Buenavista conducted a Standard First Aid (SFA) Orientation for the soldiers of the 23rd Infantry Battalion on April 22–23, 2026.

The activity focused on strengthening the participants’ knowledge and practical skills in basic life-saving interventions, enabling them to effectively respond to medical emergencies in the field.

MDRRMO Buenavista continues to promote preparedness and capacity-building among our frontline responders in ensuring a safer and more resilient community.

Buenavistahanons, be informed and stay prepared. The DOST-PAGASA reports that ENSO-neutral conditions are currently present following the end of the recent La Niña event last March 09, 2026.

However, there is an increasing probability of El Niño developing as early as July–September 2026.

🌡️ What to expect:
• Possible below-normal rainfall in some areas
• Increased risk of dry spells and droughts
• Meanwhile, above-normal rainfall may still occur in western parts of the country during the Habagat season

MDRRMO Buenavista conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Demonstration (5C’s of CPR) and distributed emergency hotline numbers and flyers during the LGU Buenavista’s Kumustahan sa Sitio Kipundao, Brgy. Sangay, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte on April 15, 2026. The activity aimed to equip residents with essential life-saving skills and ensure access to vital emergency information.

Brgy. Malapong successfully conducted its CBDRRM Training led by MDRRMO Buenavista in partnership with the PDRRMO, with support from the Provincial Government under Gov. Angel Amante and the DSWD, held in two batches from April 14–17, 2026. Participants enhanced their capacity on disaster risk reduction and emergency response.

We extend our gratitude to the facilitators for their valuable insights and dedication in making the training a success.

This initiative supports the vision of our Municipal Government under Municipal Mayor Jun Roble to create safer, more resilient communities.
