The Office of Planning and Development hosted a Technical Workshop on DBM Budget Preparation for Fiscal Year 2023 Proposed Research and Extension Projects in the Pavilion Water Gate Hotel on March 29-31, 2022, a total of fifty-seven (57) people took part in the activity.
Dr. Michelle V. Japitana, Director of Planning and Development, spearheaded the initiative. Mr. Clark Aries A. Ingles and Mr. Allen C. Catipan served as facilitators and with OPD technical staff providing support.
College Deans, Unit Heads, RDE Proponents, and other office representatives participated in the activity, which aimed to develop a research and extension project proposal for Fiscal Year 2023.
The activity was also actively participated by the resource persons: Dr.Tomas Austral, Jr., Director of the Office of Resource Generation and Management Services; Ms. Ma. Victoria M. Labisto, CPA, Director of Financial Management Services, along with her staff Ms. Jovelyn C. Miran and Mr. Jhoven Hampac; and Dr. Lilia Z. Boyles, GAD Focal Person of Caraga State University.
Moreover, Dr. Rowena P. Varela, Vice President for Research, Innovation and Extension, also participated the activity and give her message during the opening of the 3-day of Technical Workshop on DBM Budget Preparations for F.Y. 2023 Proposed RDE Projects.
The following topics were being presented and discussed by the resource persons:
A. Budget Preparation Process, PIP-TRIP, PDP Chapters, SDG and 10-point Socio-economic agenda
B. DBM 12 Documents, Concept Note, Capsule Proposal, Project Profile, and the BP Form 202
C. Feasibility Study with Financial, Marketing and Management Aspects and the Cost Benefit Analysis
D. Work and Financial Plan
E. Procedure for Monitoring the Gender Responsive of Projects and the HGDG
The topics were presented and discussed orderly. Following the discussions were workshop proper for the formulation of the implementation readiness documents.
The whole activity was a success with the help of the resource persons as queries were answered and explained well. In conclusion, participants got enough information concerning the topics discussed.
