𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 for the month of 𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Kudos to the 42 Barangays that submitted their Monthly Financial Reports for July 2026 within the prescribed deadline under COA Circular No. 2019-001! 👏

📌 Twenty barangays are recognized for their early submission of the Monthly Financial Reports for July 2026. Pangabugan, Sumilihan, Imadejas, Antongalon, and Banza were among those with the earliest submissions, followed by the other barangays included in the Top 20.

The City Accounting Department also recognizes the other compliant barangays who submitted their reports within the prescribed period. Thank you to all Punong Barangays, Barangay Treasurers, and barangay personnel for their cooperation in ensuring the timely submission of financial reports.

Under the leadership of 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐃. 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬, 𝐂𝐏𝐀, the City Accounting Department continues to support timely and accurate financial reporting across the barangays of Butuan City.

The CAD family came together as four nations: Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Air Nomad, and Water Tribe - for a day of games, pickleball, teamwork, and friendly competition.

From every game to every pickleball match, each team gave their best, cheered for their teammates, and enjoyed every moment.

And here’s how our four nations finished:

As part of the CAD Team Building 2026, the team took time to learn and reflect on the importance of Gender and Development (GAD) in promoting a more inclusive, respectful, and gender-responsive workplace.

The session, facilitated by 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐁. 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐬 (Acting Department Head of City Education Development Department) also highlighted the 𝟕 𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 - reminding us that effectiveness starts with personal responsibility, respect for others, purposeful actions, and the willingness to work together toward shared goals.

A meaningful learning session as we continue to grow not only as employees, but also as individuals and as one team.

The City Accounting Department, through the Internal Control Division – General Reconciliation Section, continues to ensure that the City’s bank and cash records are reconciled and updated on time.

For the 1st and 2nd Quarters of CY 2026, the team completed the reconciliation of 𝟕 𝐃𝐁𝐏 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝟐𝟎 𝐋𝐁𝐏 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟑𝟔 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭’𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬. This includes the comparison of CAD records with bank statements and the CTD records with CAD.

This was made possible through the work of 𝐈𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐲𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, with the guidance of 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐑𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥, 𝐂𝐏𝐀, and 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐀. regular follow-ups through letters, text messages, and group chats to keep barangays informed and on track.

𝟐. 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞
bringing technical assistance and support closer to the barangays through Coaching and Mentoring sessions to help barangay officials address reporting concerns and improve their submissions.

𝟑. 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
acknowledging compliant barangays through social media posts, encouraging others to improve and sustain timely submission.

Behind the 87% is a team that communicates, coaches, follows up, and recognizes progress.
