𝐎𝐅𝐖 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝟒𝐏𝐇 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌 𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐀𝐍

DHSUD Regional Office 13 joined forces with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Butuan to advance the proposed Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Housing Project under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

Joined by Peterson B. Gerida, HHRO V of Homeowners Association and Community Development Division (HOACDD), the coordination meeting focused on the proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that will guide the project’s development and implementation.

The LGU Butuan also presented a proposal on the possible awarding of housing slots to selected OFW beneficiaries, subject to further discussions, validation, and agreement among the concerned parties.

The coordination served as a venue for DHSUD, DMW, and the LGU to align their respective roles and explore arrangements that could facilitate the delivery of housing opportunities to qualified OFW beneficiaries.

TANDAG CITY, August 27, 2026 — The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region 13 strengthened its coordination with key government agencies and the City Government of Tandag to facilitate the implementation of the seven (7) HOA-led Expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) housing sites in Barangay Telaje, Tandag City.

Through its Homeowners Association and Community Development Division (HOACDD), led by Atty. Deen Asliah D. Macarandang, DHSUD conducted engagements with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Registry of Deeds–Tandag City, City Government of Tandag, and Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to address key project requirements.

Among the matters discussed were beneficiary profiling and validation, particularly for qualified OFW beneficiaries; capital gains tax exemption concerns; titling requirements; and proposed ₱4-million LGU assistance for the development of road networks serving the housing sites.

The activities highlight DHSUD Region 13’s continuing commitment to inter-agency collaboration and responsive housing governance to help facilitate the development of viable and sustainable 4PH communities for families in the region.

DHSUDEA OFFICERS TAKE OATH. Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling administers the oath to newly elected officers and directors of the Department's Employees Association on Thursday.

The ceremony marked the formal assumption of their responsibilities as they prepare to work together in advancing the programs and initiatives for the welfare of DHSUD employees.

The DHSUDEA, led by its President, Roel Fernandez, likewise held its Strategic Planning, bringing together its officers and directors to set priorities and chart the organization's direction moving forward.

Witnessing the oath-taking were DHSUD Senior Undersecretary Eduardo Robles Jr. and Undersecretaries Richard Michael Dimagiba, Marisol Anenias, and Roman Nicholo Molina.
