Leadership Transitions, Service Continues

The Bravo Company successfully conducted its Change of Command Ceremony, marking the formal transition of leadership from MAJ ARNEL H CATALAN PA (RES) to 2LT VICDENVER L PALAWAN PA (RES).

The ceremony honored the leadership, dedication, and accomplishments of MAJ CATALAN during his tenure as Company Commander. His commitment to duty and service has contributed significantly to the continued development and operational readiness of the company.

Taking the helm, 2LT PALAWAN assumes the responsibility of leading Bravo Company with the same dedication, professionalism, and commitment to mission excellence. His assumption signifies a new chapter of leadership and renewed commitment to the unit’s mandate of serving the Filipino people and protecting the nation.

The 1501CDC extends its sincere appreciation to MAJ CATALAN for his exemplary leadership and wishes him continued success in his next assignment. Likewise, we welcome 1LT PALAWAN and express our full support as he takes on his new responsibility.

G-ila sa 17th Sangguniang Panlungsod sa Butuan si Sgt. Edmar J. Buque, reservist sa 1501 Regional Community Defense Group (15RCDG) sa Philippine Army, tungod sa iyang kaisog sa pagluwas sa usa ka babaye nga miambak sa Agusan River.

Nahitabo ang insidente niadtong July 15, diin nakita ni Buque ang babaye nga naglisod og langoy human miambak gikan sa Magsaysay Bridge.

Nagbantay niadtong tungora si Buque sa iyang tindahan sa Barangay Buhangin. Sa dihang nakita niyang wala pa miabot ang tabang ug naglisod na ang babaye, mihimo si Buque og paagi aron maluwas kini.

Bisan lawom ug kusog ang sulog sa tubig, misalom si Buque aron makab-ot ang babaye ug madala kini sa daplin sa suba.

Atol sa 32nd SP Session sa SP Session Hall, pormal siyang gipasidunggan sa konseho tungod sa iyang kaisog ug dali nga pagtabang sa panahon sa peligro.

Matud ni Buque, wala na niya gihunahuna ang iyang kaugalingon. Ang iyang tinguha mao lang ang pagluwas sa babaye.

“Para sa ako simple ra kaayo to nga butang pero para sa uban dako na kaayo to. Gitawag ko nilag hero. Lami kaayo sa feeling nga tawagon tag hero. Abi nakog ang hero, ang tawagon og hero kana rang patay na, posible pud diay nga matawag tag hero kung matinabangon ta,” matud ni Buque.

Gipahinumdoman usab ni Buque ang publiko nga likayan ang pagsaka sa tulay tungod sa peligro ug sa posibilidad nga dili dayon makaabot ang tabang.

Ang iyang gibuhat nagpakita sa pagka-matinabangon sa mga Butuanon, labi na kung adunay isigkatawo nga nanginahanglan og tabang.

🇵🇭 ANOTHER RRU TRAINING CONDUCTED TO CAPACITATE ARMY AND NAVY RESERVISTS IN BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

Another Ready Reserve Unit (RRU) Training was successfully conducted to the reservists of this center with the Navy Reservists to enhance their knowledge and skills in Basic Life Support (BLS).

The training provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in responding to life-threatening emergencies, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other immediate life-saving interventions. Through hands-on training and practical exercises, our reservists were further capacitated to respond effectively and confidently during medical emergencies and disaster situations.

This activity underscores the commitment of our Reserve Force to continuously develop competent, prepared, and responsive reservists who are always ready to serve and protect the community.

🇵🇭 ROTC ADVOCACY AT SAINT JOSEPH INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, Butuan City 🇵🇭

The 1501st Community Defense Center (1501CDC), 15th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army under the leadership of MAJ REGIE Q BRIONES (CE) PA conducted an ROTC Advocacy and Information Drive at Saint Joseph Institute of Technology (SJIT), Butuan City to promote awareness and understanding of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program among the school community.

The activity highlighted the importance of ROTC in developing discipline, leadership, patriotism, preparedness, and a strong sense of responsibility and service to the nation. It also provided students with valuable information on the opportunities and benefits of participating in the ROTC program as part of the nation’s reserve force development.

Through strengthened partnership and continuous coordination with academic institutions, the 1501CDC remains committed to empowering the youth and inspiring them to become disciplined, capable, and responsible future leaders and defenders of the nation.

🚙 1501CDC ACQUIRES SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE THROUGH INTENSIFIED PARTNERSHIP AND COORDINATION WITH PHILHEALTH CARAGA 🤝🇵🇭

The 1501st Community Defense Center 15th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, under the administration of MAJ REGIE Q BRIONES (CE) PA expresses its sincere gratitude to PhilHealth Caraga headed by Regional Director Michael Jibson Hernandez for the provision of a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) in support of the Center’s operational and administrative requirements.

The acquisition of this vehicle is a testament to the strengthened partnership, continuous coordination, and shared commitment between the 1501CDC and PhilHealth Caraga in advancing programs and initiatives that contribute to public service and community engagement.

This meaningful support will greatly enhance the mobility and capability of the 1501CDC in carrying out its mission, particularly in reaching stakeholders and supporting various activities across the area of responsibility.
