PLANTING TREES, STRENGTHENING HOPE: BCBP CEBU CENTRAL AND BUSAY NHS BSP NIGHT OWLS JOIN HANDS FOR A GREENER BUSAY
On September 26, 2026, the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) โ Cebu Central Chapter, in partnership with the Busay National High School BSP โ Night Owls, conducted a meaningful tree-planting activity within the school premises, particularly in an area affected by a landslide during Typhoon Tino.
In a spirit of partnership and community service, BCBP Cebu Central Chapter and the Busay NHS BSP โ Night Owls came together to make a positive contribution to the school and its surrounding environment. The landslide-affected area became the site of a meaningful effort to restore, protect, and nurture the land through tree planting.
With safety as a priority, the Busay Emergency Assistance Team (BEAT) of Barangay Busay provided assistance and helped ensure participants' safety throughout the activity.
Together, BCBP Cebu Central and the Busay NHS BSP โ Night Owls planted more than 80 seedlings of fruit-bearing trees within and around the landslide-affected area. The initiative aims to support soil stability while promoting a greener, more sustainable environment for the school and the community.
Beyond the number of seedlings planted, the activity represents the power of partnership, environmental stewardship, and collective action in building a safer, greener, and more resilient community. What was once an area affected by a natural disaster is now being given new life, one seedling at a time.
Each tree planted stands as a symbol of hope, resilience, and a shared commitment to caring for the environment and future generations.
Busay National High School expresses its sincere appreciation to BCBP Cebu Central Chapter, the BSP โ Night Owls, and the Busay Emergency Assistance Team (BEAT) for their valuable support and service.
Together, we plant not only trees but also hope for a stronger and greener Busay.
