Awarding of SECPA Birth Certificate through the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP)

A significant number of residents in the community remain without timely-registered birth certificates due to factors such as remote living conditions, lack of awareness, financial limitations, or incomplete documents. These delays often hinder individuals from accessing essential services like education, healthcare, social benefits, employment, and national identification.

To address these gaps, The Local Government Unit of Burgos Ilocos Sur headed by Mayor Annabelle F. Escobar through the office of the Local Civil Registrar headed by Mrs. Amie B. Dela Cruz our Municipal Civil Registrar I in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority Ilocos Sur represented by Mrs. Claire Ragasa distribute delayed birth certificates to qualified applicants ensuring that unregistered or late-registered individuals finally receive their legal proof of identity.
