A well-deserved break, but with a purpose, for the whole teamโ€”SK Officials, SK Volunteers, and SK Junior Officials. These are the people who never seem to get tired of volunteering and giving their time to the community in the name of public service. This two-day, one-night activity was our way of giving them a space to rest, reflect, learn, and simply enjoy each otherโ€™s company after all the work we have done together.

To the parents of our volunteers and junior officials, thank you for entrusting your children to the SK Council and for allowing us to spend these two days with them. More than anything, thank you for your trust and support as they continue to learn the value of service and leadership.

Congratulations, SKJO! Kayo ang naging tulay para magkaroon ng masayang bond at experience ang mga bata na siguradong kanilang maaalala hanggang sa paglaki.

During the Katipunan ng Kabataan Night, the council successfully distributed the Educational Aid and Assistance Program to the beneficiaries. This marks the last wave of the program for this term.

TINDIG: CLASH OF ARGUMENTS

One of the highlights of this yearโ€™s Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 Celebration was the first-ever Youth Debate Competitionโ€”bringing together four teams, composed of four young debaters each, and challenged by thought-provoking issues before our four dedicated adjudicators.

But TINDIG was never just about winning an argument.

It was about learning to speak with purpose, listen with an open mind, question what we know, and stand for what we believe in. It reminded us that the youth are not only the futureโ€”they are already capable of taking part in conversations that shape their communities.

This is just the beginning. Next season, TINDIG goes inter-school.

The SK San Juan Bag-o successfully conducted its first-ever Financial Literacy Seminar, followed by a Youth Forum where the youth were given the opportunity to share their ideas, concerns, and suggestions. The information gathered will be used by the SK Council as a guide in planning programs and activities for 2027.

Among the suggestions raised during the forum were:
1. Leadership and Skills Development
2. Educational Programs
3. Community Service and Volunteerism
4. Disaster Preparedness
5. Career Development

The youth also raised concerns regarding strict implementation of curfew, especially for minors, and the need for a stricter policy on stray dogs. The latter was raised due to incidents involving dogs roaming on the streets, including accidents and a reported case of a person being bitten by a dog.

The SK Council also reminded the KK Members of the importance of their participation in SK programs and activities. Beyond simply attending, the youth were encouraged to actively take part, share their ideas, and be involved in KK Forums, KK Assemblies, and other activities of the Council.

The forum was a good opportunity for the Council to hear directly from the youth and take note of the things they want to see and improve in the community.
