Day 3 of the 1st Buguias Carrot Festival continued with activities that highlighted both community service and the dedication of our emergency responders.
At the Loo Grandstand in Buguias, the Rescue Olympics brought together responders who showcased their skills, teamwork, and readiness in handling emergency situations. The activity demonstrated the importance of preparedness, coordination, and quick response in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. Vice Mayor Ronald Kimakim delivered a message during the program, along with MDRRMO Satur Payangdo, who emphasized the vital role of disaster preparedness and response in the municipality. The program concluded with the closing remarks of Councilor Jose โBobotโ Bayas Jr.
Meanwhile, several service booths were made available to the public at the BSU Closed Gym of Benguet State University โ Buguias Campus. These included Project ISEM, the Distribution of Glasses, the booth of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Baguio-Benguet Chapter, and the Philippine Red Cross Booth. Councilor Wilnard Tolida was also present to show support for the services provided to the community.
Adding energy to both the Rescue Olympics and the service booths was Jereed Lou Waclin Tido, the 2025 Mr. Cordillera, who entertained the crowd and helped bring more excitement to the dayโs activities. These initiatives made the third day of the festival not only a celebration, but also an opportunity to extend meaningful services and engagement to the people of Buguias.
