The declaration of Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) marks a historic milestone for the Municipality of Buenavista and the 23rd Infantry (Masigasig) Battalion. This achievement signifies that the threat posed by the CPP-NPA-NDF in the municipality has been reduced to an insignificant level, with no monitored enemy activities recorded in the area for almost two years.

More than a security accomplishment, the SIPS declaration paves the way for sustained development, increased investments, and improved quality of life for the people of Buenavista. It reflects the transformation of communities once affected by insurgency into peaceful and progressive areas where government services and economic opportunities can flourish.

This milestone would not have been possible without the strong partnership and sincere commitment of the Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte under the leadership of Governor Maria Angelica Rosedell M. Amante and the Local Government Unit of Buenavista led by Mayor Joselito T. Roble. Roble, Mayor ng Buenavista, Agusan del Norte. Layunin ng programang ito na maghatid ng iba’t ibang serbisyong pampubliko tulad ng libreng gupit, libreng gamot, libreng salamin sa mata, pamamahagi ng bigas, pagproseso ng mga dokumento, at iba pang tulong para sa mamamayan. Nakiisa rin sa nasabing aktibidad ang 23rd Infantry “Masigasig” Battalion, Philippine National Police (PNP), at iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno upang mas mapalapit ang serbisyo sa komunidad at maipakita ang tunay na malasakit sa mamamayan.
