Let me tell you a story.
When I first became SK Chairperson, I doubted myself. I was shy, an introvert, and afraid to speak in front of people. I wasn’t even sure I could lead the youth.
But time taught me. I learned to face my fears, to speak from the heart, and to serve with love. Every simple “thank you” from the youth warmed my heart and reminded me why I chose this path. I always told them, “This is for all of you. This is for the Kabataan.”
I chose to focus on programs that support education. I may have been a little biased compared to basketball leagues, but I believe helping with education creates a bigger impact for our future.
I am still hoping that the ordinance I worked on gets approved—something that can help college graduates who are preparing for their licensure and board exams, even in a small way.
Now, as I step down, I may be leaving the position, but I will never stop caring. The kabataan of Barangay Masaya will always have a place in my heart, and the lessons I learned while serving them will stay with me forever.
Thank you so much,🫶🏻
