A glimpse of the many faces and stories that passed through Balin Pamana and the Botolan Pasalubong Center during the month of May.

From travelers who journeyed from distant places to curious minds eager to learn more about Botolan's rich history, culture, and heritage, every visit reminds us of the importance of preserving and sharing our local identity. Some came driven by curiosity, others in search of knowledge, and many simply to experience the unique stories that make our town special.

We are grateful to all our visitors for making Balin Pamana and the Botolan Pasalubong Center part of their journey. We look forward to welcoming more guests and continuing to showcase the beauty, culture, and heritage of Botolan.

𝗕𝗜𝗬𝗔𝗬𝗔 𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗬𝗢𝗡, 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗕 𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗬𝗢!

Bilang pagtatapos ng pagdiriwang ng National Heritage Month, inihahandog ng Botolan Tourism Office ang espesyal na dokumentaryong "MORO Y CRISTIANO."

Sa Barangay San Isidro, Botolan, patuloy na binubuhay ang mahigit 300 taong tradisyon ng Moro-Moro o Komedya—isang buhay na pamana na naipasa mula sa salinlahi hanggang sa kasalukuyan. Sa pamamagitan ng mga orihinal na manuskrito mula pa noong 1800s, pinatutunayan ng komunidad na hindi kayang burahin ng panahon ang ating kasaysayan at kultura.

Mula sa panulat ng magkakapatid na Dave hanggang sa dedikasyon ng mga pamilyang Salazar, Amoguis, Encarnacion, Tolentino, Reyes, Dimain, Dapitin, at Palon, nananatiling nag-aalab ang diwa ng tradisyon sa puso ng bawat Botolenyo.

Panoorin ang buong dokumentaryo at makiisa sa pagpapanatili at pagpapayabong ng ating mayamang pamanang kultura.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa mga aktor, direktor, buong production ng Moro-Moro/Komedya ng Barangay San Isidro sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap at pagpapaunlak sa aming isinagawang dokumentasyon. Lubos din po naming kinikilala ang suporta at pangunguna ni Punong Barangay Kgg. Doroteo R. Dilag kasama ang kanyang mga kagawad sa patuloy na pagtataguyod ng makulay na tradisyong ito ng komunidad.

Bilang bahagi ng paggunita sa National Heritage Month, isinagawa ang dokumentasyong ito upang maipakilala, mabigyang-halaga, at higit pang mapalalim ang kamalayan ng publiko tungkol sa Moro-Moro/Komedya bilang mahalagang pamanang kultura ng Barangay San Isidro. Layunin din nitong makatulong sa pagbuo ng mga programa para sa pagsasalin ng kaalaman sa susunod na henerasyon at sa patuloy na pagpapanatili ng tradisyong ito.

Ang Moro-Moro/Komedya ay hindi lamang isang pagtatanghal, kundi isang buhay na pamana ng pagkakaisa, sining, at pagkakakilanlan ng komunidad.

DOT-Region III shares the recognition received by Regional Director, Dr. Richard G. Daenos during the 3rd Philippine LEAF Awards held on 21 May 2026 at the Porac Municipal Sports and Cultural Center Gymnasium in Porac, Pampanga.

RD Daenos was conferred the Distinguished Cultural Stewardship & Visionary Leadership Award in recognition of his leadership and support for cultural preservation, heritage promotion, and tourism development initiatives in Central Luzon.

The recognition reflects the continued commitment of DOT Region III to promote and preserve the region’s cultural heritage while advancing sustainable and community-based tourism development.

The Philippine LEAF Awards celebrates exceptional Filipino artists in live entertainment, fashion, and festivals. Its 2026 edition, titled “Tertulia at Parangal sa Porac,” marked the first time the awards ceremony was conducted outside Metro Manila, taking place in Porac, Pampanga and honoring cultural properties in Luzon alongside outstanding creatives and cultural advocates.
