Barangay Maybacong, September 13,2 024 – Purina Company conducted a successful seminar today at Brgy. Maybacong Covered Court, aimed at educating local hog raisers on best practices for efficient and profitable livestock management.

The seminar concluded with a Q&A session, where participants actively engaged with Purina experts, seeking guidance on specific challenges and best practices for their individual farms.

This initiative by Purina demonstrates their commitment to empowering local livestock raisers, helping them achieve greater efficiency and profitability in their operations. The company plans to continue offering similar educational programs in the future to support the growth and development of the local hog farming industry.

We would like to congratulate Punong Barangay Hon. Roberto B. Calinaya, SB Member Hon. Aiza R. Gapud, and Brgy. Treasurer Ms. Michelle D. Divino for having successfully completed the Earthquake and Landslide Search and Rescue Operation Course. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Barangay Maybacong.

The primary objective of the Earthquake and Landslide Search and Rescue Operation Course is to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively to earthquakes and landslides. The course is designed to train participants on conducting search and rescue operations during and after such disasters, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-world scenarios. Additionally, the course provides comprehensive education about safety measures and precautions that should be taken during earthquakes and landslides, further enhancing participants' preparedness. Lastly, the course aims to enhance the ability of participants to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions during emergencies, a critical skill in disaster response.

Looking ahead, we are confident that the insights and skills gained from this course will be effectively utilized to ensure the resilience and safety of Barangay Maybacong against potential natural disasters.

Divino represented the LGU of Barangay Maybacong in the Earthquake and Landslide Search and Rescue Operation Course, which took place from April 2-4, 2024, at the MMDA Training Center in Pasig City.

This course plays a crucial role in equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively respond to and mitigate the devastating impact of natural disasters such as earthquakes and landslides. By actively engaging in this training, they exemplify their unwavering commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of the community. Their proactive involvement in disaster preparedness initiatives further strengthens the BLGU's ability to swiftly and efficiently respond during times of crisis.
