DevCom Students from Benguet State University Pay Courtesy Call to Sangguniang Bayan

In an effort to bridge academic learning with local governance, Development Communication (DevCom) students from Benguet State University (BSU) paid a courtesy call to the Office of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) recently.

The courtesy visit served as an opportunity for the aspiring development communicators to interface directly with local policymakers and understand the inner workings of municipal legislation.

During the visit, the students were warmly received by the members of the municipal council.

The interaction concluded with a photo opportunity and an exchange of ideas on potential future collaborations, such as student involvement in documenting community stories and local government information campaigns.

The BSU DevCom contingent expressed their gratitude to the Sangguniang Bayan for the warm reception, noting that firsthand exposure to local governance provides invaluable context to their classroom lessons.
