August 28, 2026 (Friday) was observed as a HINAY-MDL day at Sampaloc National High School due to the suspension of face-to-face classes brought about by the inclement weather caused by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Learners continued their lessons through Modular Distance Learning (MDL) while staying safely at home. Teachers facilitated and monitored the learning activities to ensure the continuity of education despite the weather condition.

In addition, government work was suspended in the afternoon, following the half-day work schedule observed from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The arrangement allowed school personnel and learners to prioritize safety and preparedness amid the prevailing weather conditions.

Productive Tuesday!

To ensure valid and reliable assessment for learners, the Sampaloc National High School teaching and non-teaching staff conducted a Virtual LAC Session on August 18, 2026.

The morning session focused on developing purpose-driven assessments for the upcoming term examination, which was discussed by our Principal IV, Ma’am Mylene E. Ranoy. The session highlighted the importance of creating assessments that are aligned with learning objectives and effectively measure learners’ knowledge and skills.

In the afternoon session, Sir Dexter F. Sabangan, Master Teacher I, discussed the Art and Science of Writing Multiple-Choice Items. The session provided teachers with valuable insights and practical strategies for crafting clear test items.

With strong engagement, meaningful insights, and collaborative sharing of expertise among the teachers, the LAC Session was successfully and comprehensively conducted.

The active participation and commitment of the SNHS teaching and non-teaching personnel made the session purposeful and relevant to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.

Indeed, when teachers learn, collaborate, and grow together, better learning experiences are created for every learner.
