Everyone is encouraged to display their flags on their homes, offices, establishments from May 28 to 12 June 2026, Independence Day.

In preparation for the upcoming celebration of National Flag Days 2026, personnel of the Museo ng Pamana at Kasaysayang Boholano proudly displayed Philippine flags and buntings throughout the museum premises as a symbol of patriotism, unity, and respect for the nationโ€™s heritage.

Pursuant to Section 30 of Republic Act No. 8491, otherwise known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines, the period from 28 May to 12 June of each year is declared as National Flag Days. During this period, all government offices, agencies, and instrumentalities, as well as business establishments, educational institutions, and private homes, are encouraged to prominently display the National Flag as an expression of nationalism and solidarity among Filipinos.

Let us continue to honor the sacrifices of our heroes and uphold the dignity of our National Flag as we commemorate this important national observance.

In line with Proclamation No. 1264, s. 2026; the NHCP Central Office and our Shrines, Museums, and Landmarks across the country are ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฑ on 27 May 2026, Wednesday, in commemoration of Eid'l Adha.

Earlier today, the NHCP Museo ng Pamana at Kasaysayang Boholano joined the Boholano people and the entire province in commemorating the 81st Liberation of Bohol with the theme, โ€œPaggunita sa Nakaraan, Pagpapahalaga sa Kasalukuyan, Pagtaguyod sa Kinabukasan,โ€ in honor of our Boholano heroes during the Second World War. The commemorative program was held at Plaza Rizal.

" On this day, 25 of May 1945, when the province was in full control by the United States military forces and there were no traces of enemy occupation, Major General William H. Arnold, formally declared the entire province of Bohol as liberated and its civil gvernment formally turned over to the authority and jurisdiction of the Commonwealth Government of the Philippines. "
