This artwork represents the prosperity, identity, and evolving realities of Bogo City. At its center stands the Bogo tree (Garuga floribunda), where โfloribundaโ means โabundance,โ symbolizing growth, blessing, and flourishing life. Historically, early trade and community gatherings took place beneath this tree, from which the city derived its name. In this piece, the tree becomes the โTree of Truth,โ grounding Bogoโs history while nurturing present progress and future aspirations.
Surrounding it are emblems of civic and cultural pride: Kuyayang Festival dancers embody tradition in motion; Pintos, the beloved corn delicacy, represents agricultural richness; and landmarks such as the San Vicente Ferrer Archdiocesan Shrine, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Shrine, Northern Cebu Colleges, the Bogo Fountain, and Capitancillo Island reflect faith, education, heritage, and tourism. The Bogo City Hall signifies unity and governance, while rising buildings illustrate modernization and development.
Flowing lights connect each element, symbolizing storytelling in the digital ageโwhere youth document, interpret, and amplify community truths. The presence of artists and performers at the billboard honors local talents like Vina Morales and Fuschia Ravena, reflecting Bogoโs creative spirit not only locally but also nationally and internationally. Gathered beneath the tree, Bogohanonsโespecially the youthโstand united in culture, resilience, and shared identity.
