Bogo City Police Arrest Woman Wanted for Two Counts of Estafa in Siquijor Operation
An intensified manhunt operation conducted by personnel of the Bogo City Police Station led to the successful arrest of a woman wanted for two counts of Estafa on May 21, 2026, in San Juan, Siquijor.
The arrested individual was identified as a 55-year-old female listed as an Other Wanted Person (OWP) under the old warrant system. She was apprehended in Barangay Maite, San Juan, Siquijor through a joint operation carried out by the Tracker Team of Bogo City Police Station under the supervision, in coordination with operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Unit and San Juan Municipal Police Station.
Police reports disclosed that the arrest stemmed from the service of an alias warrant of arrest issued by the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Branch in Bogo City, Cebu, for two counts of Estafa with recommended bail fixed at β±6,000.00 for each count.
Authorities said the accused was properly informed of the nature of her offense and her constitutional rights in accordance with the Miranda Doctrine prior to her arrest. Following proper documentation, the arrested individual will be turned over to the issuing court for appropriate legal proceedings.
