In Barangay Balat Balud, a meaningful tree planting activity was led by the Sangguniang Kabataan under SK Chairperson Lyka S. Pelonia, bringing together graduating students from elementary to college. Each participant planted a Talisay tree, symbolizing growth, strength, and responsibility.

More than just an environmental effort, the activity became a simple rite of passage—marking the students’ transition while leaving a lasting legacy in their community. It highlighted the important role of the youth in caring for the environment and shaping a greener future.

The success of the activity was also made possible with the support and participation of Barangay Kagawad Hon. Beverly Baldestoy and Hon. Edwin Lopez.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Balat Balud successfully conducted its Voter’s Education Program, with Mr. Arvin Doncillo serving as the resource speaker and providing meaningful insights to our youth participants.

The event also included an Eco-Friendly Festival, highlighting the significance of environmental stewardship and sustainability in the community. The SK Council organized several environment-focused games to encourage participation and learning among the youth.

The activity concluded with “Kwentoruan sa Barangay,” facilitated by the Lucbananon Youth. One of the featured discussants, Teacher Bony Monticalvo, founder of the Dalakitnon Organization, imparted inspiring lessons and experiences to the participants.

To all youth of Barangay Balat Balud, you are all invited this coming Sunday, 8:00 AM, November 30, for our VOTER’S EDUCATION, ECO-FRIENDLY FESTIVAL (fun games with prizes), and a meaningful ‘KWEN-TURUAN’ session led by the Lucbananon Youth Organization.

This activity aims to empower young voters, promote environmental awareness, and strengthen camaraderie among the youth.

We encourage everyone to join, participate, and enjoy the activities prepared for you.
