7 May 2026 | DTI Marinduque participated in the ValueSeas Project Inception Meeting of Bluer Seas Philippines under the The Climate and Ocean Adaptation and Sustainable Transition (COAST) Facility, a flagship programme of the UK Government to empower coastal communities, support sustainable fisheries, and promote resilient livelihoods as they pilot this initiative in Marinduque.

DTI MIMAROPA ARD Rodolfo Mariposque and DTI Marinduque PD Roniel Macatol presented DTI programs and projects specifically for the blue economy industry.

The activity aims to strengthen collaboration for a more sustainable and responsible seafood sector in Marinduque, dedicated to advancing inclusive, sustainable, and climate-resilient seafood value chains through partnerships with fishing communities, MSMEs, industry stakeholders, and government institutions in the province.

Congratulations to our Mentee-Graduates of the KMME-MME Program 2026 Batch 1!!!

On May 7, 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) MIMAROPA held its virtual graduation program for the first batch of graduates of the Kapatid Mentor ME-MME Program this year.

The ceremony recognized 48 entrepreneurs from the provinces of Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan for successfully completing the 10-week mentorship program and passing the Business Improvement Plan presentations.

This initiative highlights DTI’s continued commitment to supporting innovation, technology access, and the efficient operation of Shared Service Facilities for the benefit of local communities and stakeholders in Marinduque.

DTI Marinduque conducted regular monitoring in key trade areas in the Municipality of Boac to track the condition, prices, and supply of basic goods for consumers.

Based on the monitoring conducted, no significant price changes were observed among Basic Necessities and Prime Commodities (BNPC).

Monitoring will continue to ensure consumer protection and promote fair trade in the market.
