Through the leadership and authority of Mayor Armi Carrion, the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), together with the Municipal Engineering Office and Municipal Assessor’s Office, successfully conducted the Public Consultation/Hearing for the proposed Boac Memorial Park at the Balimbing Covered Court.

𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 : 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐑𝐃𝐏 𝐒𝐮𝐛-𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐜-𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐅𝐌𝐑 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞

The Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), together with the members of the Municipal Project Management and Implementation Unit (MPMIU), successfully conducted a Public Hearing for the proposed Concreting of the Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) with Bridge at Ogbac-Binunga.

The hearing served as a venue to present the proposed project, discuss its objectives and anticipated benefits, and gather the comments, insights, recommendations, and support of the stakeholders and residents concerned in this project.

This initiative highlights the commitment of the Municipality of Boac in promoting transparency, community participation, and inclusive development towards improving road accessibility and supporting the livelihood of local farmers and residents.

Following the successful conduct of Day 1, we continued with Day 2 of the presentation of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) - Zoning Ordinance, marking another significant step in its two-day activity, thru the leadership of Municipal Mayor Armi DC. Carrion

Building on the initial discussions, insights, and foundational concepts introduced on the first day, the second day is focused on the General Regulations of the Zoning Ordinance, highlighting their critical role in guiding land use, regulating development, and ensuring alignment to the municipality's long-term goal, and as the implementing tool of the CLUP.

The session provided a more comprehensive discussion of key regulatory provisions, including development standards, zoning controls, compliance mechanisms, special use permits, and integration of environmental consideration.

As a continuation of the previous day's activity, Day 2 also fostered a meaningful engagement, allowing opportunity to raise insights, address concerns, and ensure that the zoning ordinance remains responsive to the current conditions and adaptable to future challenges.

The Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), in collaboration with the Technical Assistance Program on Human Settlements Planning (TAP-HSP) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, successfully commenced Day 1 of its two-day presentation of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) - Zoning Ordinance, thru the authority and leadership of Municipal Mayor Armi DC. Carrion.

The first day was focused on laying a strong foundation for sustainable and well-guided municipal development with particular emphasis on the Zoning Ordinance. The session began with the rationale behind CLUP and an overview of the 12-step planning process. This was followed by the presentation of the municipality's vision, goals, and objectives which serves as a guiding principle for the future.

Further discussion highlighted the municipality's development thrust and introduced the conceptual structures plan. The Land Use Plan was also thoroughly presented, including key insights on land demand and supply, as well as the proposed allocation and utilization of land resources.

The major highlight of Day 1 was the detailed presentation of the Zoning Ordinance, particularly the zoning regulations. This segment emphasized the importance of proper land classification and regulation in promoting development, protecting resources, and ensuring compatibility of land use in the municipality.

This activity was attended by the Municipal Vice Mayor, Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and all department/section heads, reflecting a unified commitment to effective planning, policy alignment, and sustainable local development.

The Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), in collaboration with the Technical Assistance Program on Human Settlements Planning (TAP-HSP) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, is currently conducting a comprehensive review of the draft of the Municipal Zoning Ordinance, thru the authority and leadership of Municipal Mayor Armi DC. Carrion.

The meeting focuses on the refinement and evaluation of the zoning provisions, ensuring consistency with existing land use policies and plans of the municipality, and addressing technical and policy considerations for effective implementation.

Present in the meeting are Councilor Wilson Mabute and Municipal Assessor Ricardo Nieva, who are providing valuable insights on legislative alignments, property assessment concerns, and the practical implementation of zoning regulations, along with designated Tourism Officer Ma. Genoveva G. Loto, who joined via Zoom to contribute her expertise on the municipality’s cultural heritage considerations.

The Local Government of Boac, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Armi DC. Carrion, conducted a public consultation this afternoon with affected lot and property owners for the proposed Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) in Barangay Balagasan.

The activity was facilitated by the Department of Agriculture - Regional Agricultural Engineering Division, together with the Municipal Agriculture Office, Municipal Planning and Development Office, and Municipal Engineering Office.

The workshop is conducted as part of the preparation and updating of the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) of the Municipality of Boac, in partnership with the Technical Assistance Program on Human Settlements Planning (TAP-HSP) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

Elected officials and department heads participated in this activity to systematically evaluate and prioritize identified Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs). Through long-listing, urgency testing, and Goal Achievement Matrix (GAM) scoring. This activity ensures that priority programs and projects are aligned with the municipality’s development goals and will guide the formulation of the CDP.
