In line with the directive of the Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino to bring government services closer to grassroots communities, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Marinduque Provincial Office successfully oriented 100 participants on labor rights, enterprise standards, and livelihood programs. This initiative was conducted on September 14, 2026, at the MDRRMO Training Hall in Barangay Lapu-Lapu, Santa Cruz, Marinduque, as a core component of the Handog ng Pangulo 2026 program.

This activity brought together a diverse group of beneficiaries, including Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) scholars, representatives from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬: In celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Marinduque Provincial Office conducted a series of activities highlighting its personnel’s dedication to public service while fostering talent, unity, and camaraderie in the workplace.

The celebration featured a Recognition Ceremony for Government Internship Program (GIP) Interns, recognizing their three months of dedicated service and valuable contributions to the office. The interns were presented with Certificates of Recognition, complemented by a lighthearted presentation of quirky and service awards that showcased their individual personalities, talents, and memorable contributions during their internship.

During the ceremony, the interns expressed their gratitude to DOLE Marinduque for the opportunity to be part of the office and gain meaningful workplace experience. They also shared their appreciation for the values, lessons, and experiences they learned and adapted throughout their internship, which they can carry as they pursue their respective career journeys.

DOLE Marinduque Provincial Office Head Mr. Marjun S. Moreno likewise extended his appreciation to the GIP interns for their valuable assistance in the performance of the office’s duties and responsibilities. He recognized their contribution in helping the office accomplish its deadlines and targets, emphasizing the importance of their support in the smooth delivery of the office’s work.

“𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘭𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥,” Moreno told the interns, encouraging them to continue learning and carry with them the knowledge and values they gained during their time with DOLE.

Unit Heads and other DOLE personnel also shared messages of appreciation and encouragement, followed by an audio-visual presentation (AVP) highlighting the interns’ journey, experiences, and milestones throughout their three-month service.

The celebration also welcomed Ms. Agnes Morillo, LEO III, as the newest member of the DOLE Marinduque family. Her formal welcome was marked by a traditional Putong, symbolizing acceptance, respect, and warm fellowship as she begins her journey with the office.

Following the welcome, DOLE Marinduque personnel proceeded to the Lingkod Bayani Commitment Wall, where each employee wrote and signed their personal commitment as public servants. The activity provided an opportunity for personnel to reaffirm their dedication to uphold the values of integrity, excellence, accountability, and genuine service to the Filipino people.

Coinciding with the 𝘒𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘢 𝘋𝘢𝘺, DOLE Marinduque personnel gathered for a shared lunch, providing an opportunity to strengthen workplace relationships and celebrate the value of togetherness beyond their day-to-day duties.

The celebration continued with the Unity Games, featuring basketball games for both boys and girls at the Poras Covered Court in Boac, Marinduque. The friendly competition brought employees together in the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.

Through these activities, DOLE Marinduque highlighted that public service goes beyond fulfilling official duties. The celebration served as a meaningful reminder that every public servant plays a role in advancing responsive, dedicated, and people-centered government service.

𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗪: Handog ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Marinduque Provincial Office ang Php 1,790,000.00 halaga ng mga kagamitang pangkabuhayan sa Samahan ng mga Magsasaka ng Magapua sa ilalim ng DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) noong Setyembre 21, 2026, sa Mogpog Covered Court, Barangay Gitnang Bayan, Mogpog, Marinduque.

Isandaan at labindalawang miyembro ng samahan ang makikinabang sa mga ipinagkaloob na kagamitan para sa produksyon ng charcoal briquettes, coco fiber, at coco peat mula sa mga produktong mula sa niyog.

Bilang bahagi ng tulong pangkabuhayan, nagsagawa rin si Livelihood Development Specialist (LDS) Ralph Ryan Malinao ng oryentasyon ukol sa wastong pagtatala at pag-iingat ng mga record at dokumento. Katuwang si LDS Bernadeth Enriquez, ipinamahagi ng DOLE sa samahan ang DILP Project Record Book, na magsisilbing gabay sa pagtatala ng kanilang mga benta, gastusin, ipon, at iba pang transaksyong may kaugnayan sa kanilang livelihood project.

Sumailalim din ang mga benepisyaryo sa pagsasanay sa paggawa ng charcoal briquettes na isinagawa ng RM Metalworks mula Nueva Ecija, kung saan itinuro ang wastong proseso at pamamaraan sa produksyon. Isinagawa rin ang pagsasanay sa wastong paggamit, pagpapatakbo, at pangangalaga ng mga makina at kagamitan para sa produksyon ng coco peat at coco fiber.

Dinaluhan ang awarding at turnover ceremony nina Municipal Mayor ng Mogpog Hon. Senen M. Livelo Jr., mga kinatawan ng Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) ng Magapua, mga opisyal at miyembro ng Samahan ng mga Magsasaka ng Magapua, Mogpog PESO Manager Gng. Vivian Logatoc, at DOLE Marinduque Provincial Office Head G. Marjun S. Moreno.

Sa pamamagitan ng DILP, layunin ng DOLE na mapalakas ang kabuhayan ng mga organisadong manggagawa at magsasaka sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng produktibong kagamitan, kaalaman, at suporta na makatutulong sa pagpapaunlad ng kanilang livelihood enterprise at paglikha ng dagdag na oportunidad sa kita.

Aligned with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s broader vision to stabilize food prices, eliminate trader-intermediaries, and bolster micro-producers, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Marinduque Provincial Office, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santa Cruz through the Municipal Agriculture Office, successfully operationalized the implementation of the KADIWA ng Pangulo through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) Program as part of the Handog ng Pangulo 2026.

Thirteen (13) TUPAD beneficiaries have been deployed for a 15-day engagement tasked with displaying and marketing locally produced agricultural commodities. For the first five days, vendors operate directly at the Santa Cruz Plaza in Barangay Maharlika, Santa Cruz, Marinduque, while the remaining ten days involve localized community projects within their respective barangays. Each beneficiary received PHP 6,825.00 for the 15-day period, bringing the total wage payout to PHP 88,725.00.
