ππ’π’π: In celebration of the 124th Labor Day, MarinduqueΓ±os gathered not just for a job fair, but for a day filled with opportunities, learning, and renewed hope. Spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) MIMAROPA through its Marinduque Provincial Office, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Marinduque and Marinduque State University (MarSU), the 124th Labor Day Job Fair 2026 brought together jobseekers, employers, and government agencies under one roof.
A total of 23 employers, 1 government agency and 2 overseas companies opened opportunities for jobseekers, offering 1,289 vacancies for both local and overseas employment.
Out of 207 registered applicants, 54% were qualified. Forty-two (42) applicants were hired-on-the-spot (HOTS), while 36 were considered near-hires, needing only minimal additional requirements or further assessment to secure employment.
In addition, 183 jobseekers were also able to avail various government services during the activity, further highlighting the eventβs role as a comprehensive platform for extensive employment support.
