JUST IN: Malacañang, through Memorandum Circular No. 106, suspends work in government offices and classes on Monday (Nov. 10, 2025) in the National Capital Region, Cordillera, and Regions I, II, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, and VIII as Super Typhoon (Fung-wong) barrels through Luzon with destructive winds and torrential rain.

Meanwhile, classes at all levels in the aforementioned regions, as well as in Regions VI, VII, and the Negros Island Region, are suspended on Nov. 10 and 11.

“Agencies responsible for basic, vital, and health services, preparedness and response duties must continue to remain operational,” the circular read.

Malacañang said other government offices in affected areas may adopt alternate work arrangements to ensure the continuity of essential functions.

Local governments outside the listed regions are authorized to issue their own class and work suspensions as needed. | PNA

In a move to strengthen transparency and citizen participation in local governance, the Sangguniang Bayan of Boac has officially adopted a resolution institutionalizing an Open and Inclusive Public Hearing Consultation as a formal and regular mechanism in the formulation, deliberation, and public disclosure of the Municipal Government Annual Budget for 2026.

SB Resolution No. 2025-134 Authored by Councilor Mark Angelo Jinang underscores the local government’s commitment to promoting accountability and participatory governance by providing a platform for residents, stakeholders, and community organizations to engage directly in the budget process. Through open consultations, the people of Boac are given the opportunity to voice their insights and priorities, ensuring that the municipal budget reflects the true needs and aspirations of the community.

The adoption of this resolution marks another milestone in Boac’s continuing effort to uphold good governance and foster a culture of inclusiveness and transparency in public service.
