The Municipality of Biri proudly celebrated the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Day and Night Market, also known as the Biri Food Park, on November 14, 2025!
This livelihood initiative is made possible through the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), benefiting the Biri Food Vendors Association with 16 fully equipped food carts. Each unit is provided with essential tools and equipment such as tents, tables and chairs, stoves with gas tanks, trash bins, cooler boxes and solar lamps.
This project aims to uplift the association’s members by supporting their livelihood while also serving the local community and tourists—especially as Biri continues to grow as one of Northern Samar’s notable tourist destinations.
MPESO Biri extends its heartfelt gratitude to DOLE RO8 and DOLE NSFO, headed by Regional Director ATTY. DAX B. VILLARUEL and ENGR. PRIMO N. GUARIN, DOLE NSFO Chief, for their unwavering support. Sincere appreciation is also given to the Local Government Unit of Biri, led by HON. ANTONIO B. DELOS REYES JR, for their continuous assistance in making this project possible.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by the Biri Municipal Officials, headed by LCE Antonio B. Delos Reyes and Vice Mayor Ana B. Araojo, along with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan and representatives from DOLE were also present to grace the occasion.
Following the formal program and ribbon cutting, guests enjoyed food tasting across all stalls. The evening concluded with live band entertainment, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. It was indeed a successful opening night for the Biri Food Park—a new space for livelihood, community gathering, and tourism enrichment.
