Barangay Tuca successfully conducted its 1st Semester Barangay Assembly for Calendar Year 2026 on March 8, 2026, anchored on the theme:
“Nagkakaisang Barangay Tungo sa Kalinisan, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran.”

This meaningful activity was made possible through the leadership of our dedicated Punong Barangay, Hon. Yusoph Olama Sarip.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our distinguished guests and visitors from various line agencies who shared their time and support in making this event successful.

Special thanks to:

Most especially, we thank all the residents of Barangay Tuca who actively participated and witnessed this important gathering.

In observance of the Holy Month of Ramadhan, a time dedicated to compassion, generosity, and solidarity, the Punong Barangay initiated a heartfelt surprise and meaningful gesture of support to all attending households. Each family was provided with five (5) kilograms of rice and one (1) tray of eggs, symbolizing the spirit of sharing and ensuring that no family goes home without assistance during this sacred period. ✨

This initiative highlights the barangay’s continued dedication to inclusive service, social support, and community welfare.

Indeed, this assembly was not only a celebration of unity but also a reflection of care and service where no one went home empty-handed, and everyone felt valued.

Together, let us continue to build a stronger, more resilient, and progressive Barangay Tuca of Municipality of Binidayan. 🤝

Barangay Tuca successfully conducted a Simultaneous Clean-Up Drive and Road Clearing Activity, actively participated in by all Barangay Officials and spearheaded by our ABC President and Punong Barangay, Hon. Yusoph O. Sarip.

This initiative is not only in compliance with the directive of the MILG/DILG, but more importantly, it reflects our shared responsibility in ensuring that our barangay passageways remain safe, accessible, and free from obstructions. Through unity and cooperation, we continue to promote order, discipline, and good governance in our community. 🤝

As we prepare for the upcoming blessed month of Ramadhan, this activity also serves as a meaningful reminder that cleanliness is part of our faith. By maintaining a clean and orderly environment, we manifest both civic responsibility and spiritual readiness.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Barangay Officials and volunteers who participated and continuously cooperated in making this activity successful. Your dedication and teamwork truly embody the spirit of unity and service.

𝟏𝟐/𝟏𝟏/𝟐𝟓 | 𝐊𝐔𝐃𝐎𝐒, 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐔𝐂𝐀!

Alhamdulillah, Barangay Tuca has officially earned the Grade 1 Status - Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) Certification, a remarkable achievement that reflects the unity, perseverance, and dedication of our entire community.

The Barangay Officials of Barangay Tuca, led by our hardworking Punong Barangay Hon. Yusoph O. Sarip, extend their heartfelt gratitude to the IPHO evaluators for granting the barangay another opportunity for reassessment. This second chance strengthened the determination of our officials and residents and inspired them to work even harder to prove that Barangay Tuca is truly deserving of this certification.

Our deepest appreciation also goes to the Rural Health Unit (RHU), under the leadership of our Municipal Health Officer, Dra. Mondirah H. Panda, whose guidance and unwavering commitment to community health greatly contributed to our success. We are also truly grateful to the assigned nurse of Barangay Tuca, Ma’am Fatimah Hannaan O. Yusoph, for her hands-on assistance, thorough household monitoring, and her continuous motivation to the community. Along with her, our dedicated Barangay Health Workers tirelessly conducted sanitation checks, ensuring that every household understood and complied with the ZOD standards.

We likewise extend our sincere gratitude to the MLGOO of Binidayan, Ma’am Laminah Calombang, for her consistent support and encouragement throughout the entire process.

Also, we express our profound gratitude to the Philippine Army rendering their support and physical effort in helping us clean and clear the waste in the affected areas. Special thanks to Lt. Gavia and Lt. Angcog, under the supervision of LTC Jerry B. Gaviola of the 64IB ID Knights Battalion, 101st Tabak Division, whose leadership and commitment greatly contributed to the success of the clearing operations. Their readiness to assist and strong sense of service to the community helped speed up the rehabilitation of the long-neglected site.

To all constituents of Barangay Tuca who exerted time, effort, cooperation, and collective action during the clean-up drives - MARAMING SALAMAT PO! 🫶🏻 Your unity and willingness to participate played a vital role in transforming our barangay into a cleaner and more livable community.

Our Punong Barangay, Hon. Yusoph O. Sarip gives special recognition to the following Barangay Officials who exerted extraordinary efforts in restoring and cleaning the area that had long served as a dumpsite for many years:

Before the year comes to an end, the Barangay Officials of Barangay Tuca, through the leadership of the ABC President, Punong Barangay Hon. Yusoph O. Sarip, together with several dedicated residents, successfully conducted the Monthly Barangay Road Clearing for the month of December.

This month’s activity was a remarkable achievement, as the Barangay Officials included the clearing of a specific area in the barangay that had long resembled a dumpsite along Lake Lanao - an area that had accumulated waste for many years. Through their collective effort, determination, and strong community cooperation, this once-neglected area was finally addressed and restored.

This continuous commitment to environmental cleanliness and sanitation is also one of the key reasons why Barangay Tuca successfully earned the Grade 1 ZOD (Zero Open Defecation) Certification. By maintaining clean surroundings and addressing long-standing sanitation challenges, the barangay proved its readiness and dedication to upholding public health standards.

Last November 16, 2025, Barangay Tuca proudly announces the successful conduct of its Barangay Assembly for Calendar Year 2025, an important gathering that served as a platform for transparency, accountability, and strengthened partnership between the barangay leadership and its constituents.

The event was led by the ABC President, Punong Barangay Hon. Yusoph O. Sarip, together with all Barangay Officials, who extend their heartfelt gratitude to all guests, visitors, and residents who took the time to attend and participate in this meaningful assembly.

A special acknowledgment is given to our Guest Speaker, LT. Jhon Estante from the Philippine Army, under the supervision of LTC Jerry B. Gaviola of the 64IB ID Knights Battalion, 101st Tabak Division. His presence and message of encouragement contributed greatly to the significance and success of the event.

We also recognize and appreciate our distinguished guests from the municipal government and various partner agencies:

• From the Rural Health Unit (RHU), represented by Ma’am Fatimah Hannaan O. Yusoph, the assigned nurse in Barangay Tuca.

• From the Municipal Government of Binidayan, specifically the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), represented by Ma’am Jamillah Lovely R. Sarip, Local Youth Development Officer, and Ma’am Salima L. Abdul, MSWDO Staff.

• From Maindig Elementary School, represented by Ma’am Asnifa S. Olama, teacher and partner in education and community development.

During the assembly, the Barangay Kagawads delivered comprehensive updates and accomplishments of their respective committees, reflecting the progress made in governance, public safety, infrastructure, health, and community programs. The SK Accomplishments and Ways Forward were also presented by Hon. Salamia A. Lianto, showcasing the youth sector’s achievements and upcoming initiatives.

In line with this gathering, Barangay Tuca also commemorated the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week 2025, highlighting the theme:
“Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Kalusugan ay Pinapahalagahan, Droga ay Inaayawan.” This celebration reinforced the barangay’s commitment to promoting a healthy, drug-free, and resilient community through awareness, collective action, and strong partnerships.

One of the major highlights of the program was the delivery of the State of the Barangay Address (SOBA) by Punong Barangay Hon. Yusoph O. Sarip, where he presented the barangay’s accomplishments for the year and expressed his strong commitment and vision for the upcoming year 2026.

Adding joy and excitement to the event was a surprise raffle prepared for the residents and attendees, initiated by the Punong Barangay and his wife, Ma’am In-nora R. Sarip, as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for the community’s continued support and cooperation.

Once again, Barangay Tuca extends its warmest thanks to all guests, partners, and residents who attended and supported this year’s Barangay Assembly. Your active participation strengthens our shared mission to build a more progressive, inclusive, drug-free, and empowered community.

Empowering the Youth for Peacebuilding 🕊️

On August 26, 2024, the Tuca Youth Peacebuilders successfully conducted the "WaY to PEACE PROJECT PROGRAM," a Culture of Peace Roll-Out Training held in Barangay Tuca, Binidayan, LDS. We were honored to have 25 dedicated youth participants join us in this transformative journey, alongside the esteemed UNYPAD-Ranao Organization as our special guest.

This training marks a significant step towards fostering unity, understanding, and peace within our community. Together, we are building a brighter, more peaceful future for all.

Last August 2-4, 2024, the TUCA YOUTH PEACEBUILDERS, a locally registered youth organization of Barangay Tuca, Binidayan, proudly participated in the “Culture of Peace: Training of Trainers” held at Celadon Pensionne House, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte. The said training was sponsored by Relief International (RI), in partnership with UNYPAD-Ranao, Inc. wherein it empowered our youth and women as vital agents for sustained peace and stability in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). 🙌

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞: “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫: 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧“

Every year on 26th day of June, the 𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗜𝗧 or World Drug Day is observed to strengthen action, collaboration and cooperation in achieving the goal of a drug-free world. This is a call to us to join the DILG and PNP program to end and fight against illegal drugs.

Through the leadership of ABC President, Hon. Yusoph O. Sarip, Punong Barangay of Tuca, Binidayan, Lanao del Sur and by the help of the Barangay Kagawad, Hon. Hussein R. Macarangcat, the Committee Chairman on Peace and Order, they successfully conducted Drug Awareness Lecture in relation to IDADAIT to the Sangguniang Kabataan and Barangay Officials of Barangay Tuca, Binidayan, LDS.

Anti-illegal Drug Accomplishment Reports were also discussed and reported by the Barangay Chief BPAT, Mr. Hamim R. Macarangcat.

The BLGU-Tuca actively participated in spreading knowledge about anti-illegal drugs, supporting prevention initiatives, and working towards a future free from the harms of drug abuse and vows to be more proactive in combating drugs and maintaining peace and order in the Barangay Tuca. 🤝🏻

ABC President, Hon. Yusoph O. Sarip and the rest of the Barangay Officials and Sangguniang Kabataan extended their appreciation to everyone who participated and supported this important cause. 💙
