Yesterday, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) turned over a Tablet for Livestock and Poultry Administrative Data (LaPAD) to the Local Government Unit of Bingawan, represented by Municipal Mayor Matt P. Palabrica, PhD, together with personnel of the Municipal Agriculture Office.

The LaPAD tablet will support the collection, recording, and management of administrative data on livestock and poultry, helping strengthen the municipality’s agricultural data systems and improve the availability of reliable information for planning, monitoring, and decision-making.

The turnover was facilitated by PSA personnel Imelda Flamiano, Statistical Specialist II, and Anjonette M. Jayme, Administrative Officer I.

The LGU Bingawan expresses its appreciation to the Philippine Statistics Authority for its continued partnership and support in advancing data-driven governance and strengthening the delivery of agricultural services to the people of Bingawan.

𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐃 𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐎𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝟏𝟒 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐘𝐒

The Municipality of Bingawan, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), distributed one (1) handheld radio unit to each of the fourteen (14) barangays, through their respective Punong Barangays, to strengthen communication, coordination, and information flow at the barangay level.

The initiative aims to enhance timely reporting, information dissemination, emergency coordination, and communication between the barangays and the Municipal Operations Center (OpCen), particularly during disasters, emergencies, and other critical situations.

With these handheld radios, barangays are better equipped to promptly relay situational reports, emergency incidents, requests for assistance, and other vital information to the MDRRMO. This strengthens the municipality’s communication and early warning system while contributing to improved disaster preparedness, emergency response, and inter-barangay coordination.

The distribution was conducted during the Flag Raising Ceremony and was graced by Municipal Mayor Matt P. Palabrica, Vice Mayor Elizabeth C. Occeña, and Sangguniang Bayan Members Ramil Castroverde and Wennie Javellana.

The Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) – Quezon City paid a courtesy visit to the Municipality of Bingawan as part of its field activities for the mapping of high-value crops in the municipality.

The activity aims to gather essential data on the location and production of high-value crops, supporting efforts in agricultural planning, resource management, and the development of programs that will benefit local farmers. 🌾👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

The LGU Bingawan warmly welcomes the BSWM team and appreciates their continued efforts in strengthening agricultural development and promoting sustainable farming practices in the municipality.

The Barangays of Quinangyana, Ngingi-an, and Cairohan have successfully achieved the Philippine Approach to Sustainable Sanitation (PHATSS) Grade 2 (G2) Certification after satisfactorily complying with the prescribed standards and successfully passing the PHATSS G2 Verification.

This significant achievement reflects the barangays’ continued commitment to promoting safe, sustainable, and improved sanitation practices for the health and well-being of their communities.

The recognition was formally presented during the LGU Bingawan Flag Raising Ceremony, celebrating this important milestone and the collective efforts of everyone involved in advancing sanitation and public health in the municipality.
