Reach and Read Ignites Once Again—Celebrating 5 Years of Spreading Literacy, One Community at a Time! ✨📚
The University of Perpetual Help System Laguna–University Library, in collaboration with the College of Education Library and Information Science Program, proudly launched the 5th year of the Reach and Read Program at Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Memorial Elementary School, Brgy. Sto. Niño, Biñan City, last November 21, 2025.
For half a decade, this meaningful initiative has continued to address literacy challenges in underserved communities—nurturing a love for reading, lifelong learning, and empowerment among young learners.
This milestone was made possible through the collective efforts of the College of Education, BLIS Program, International and External Affairs Office led by Dr. Josefa G. Carrillo, and the Community Outreach Department headed by Ms. Clarisse Anne G. Lebios.
Special thanks to Mr. Reynaldo S. Cabal, Principal of Dr. Jose G. Tamayo Memorial Elementary School, for welcoming us with unwavering support.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous partners and sponsors who have been with us from the beginning- McDonald’s Biñan Highway, Mr. Josef & Cher Halos (EBSCO Philippines), Ms. Michelle Bartolay, Dr. Leomar Galicia, Dr. Arcangel Joshua Abustan, Ms. Mercidita Camitan, Ms. Mylene Contreras, Dr. Analiza Malalay, UPHSL Management Committee led by Dr. Ferdinand C.
