Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza met with Department of Information and Communications Technology - DICT (DICT) Secretary Henry Rhoel R. Aguda on June 16, 2026, to strengthen coordination on current BIR digital initiatives and explore future collaboration on AI-assisted digital transformation.
Secretary Aguda expressed DICTβs readiness to help the BIR improve ongoing digital initiatives, including finalizing the Bureauβs onboarding to the National Single Window. He also presented modern AI-assisted development tools that may help speed up project development and drive broader system modernization, and offered a possible demonstration and training session.
Commissioner Mendoza welcomed DICTβs continued assistance, noting that closer inter-agency work will help advance the Bureauβs digitalization efforts in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.βs directive to accelerate the digital transformation of government services and make them easier and more accessible.
βThe Digital TIN ID in the eGovPH App and our other ongoing initiatives with DICT show the value of sustained coordination, especially as Digital Transformation anchors the BIR DARES agenda. We welcome DICTβs continued assistance and look forward to further collaboration on technologies that can help accelerate project implementation in the years ahead,β Commissioner Mendoza said.
