20 Pupils Brave the “Fire Square Challenge” in BFP Training Event

24 March 2026 - Twenty (20) pupils of DepEd Tayo Besao CS showcased courage and teamwork today as they joined the Bureau of Fire Protection’s (BFP) “Fire Square Challenge,” a hands-on activity designed to promote fire safety awareness among young learners.

Held at the Tinagapan Ground, the challenge tested participants’ ability to respond to simulated fire scenarios, navigate obstacles, and apply basic firefighting skills under the guidance of trained personnel.

Health workers and MDRRM and BFP officials emphasized the importance of teaching preparedness at an early age, hoping the activity inspires children to stay alert, act responsibly, and value safety in their communities.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Today marks the successful completion of the Tech Enhanced Learning Session (Class In Connect) at DepEd CAR - the final Online Saturday Class for Grades 1–3 learners after 16 enriching sessions that began on October 18, 2025.

This region wide online initiative significantly strengthened the young learners’ literacy, numeracy, and science skills. Only three schools from Besao District participated from the entire Schools Division of Mountain Province:

🏫 Payeo Elementary School

From reading and counting to exploring science concepts, the pupils showed remarkable dedication, enthusiasm, and growth every Saturday.

DepEd Tayo Mountain Province Science Supervisor Nemia Ngalob Lite visited the school and monitored the conduct of the online class.

A heartfelt thank you to all DepEd Personnel, parents, learners, and other stakeholders or partners for their unwavering support and commitment in making this program a success.

Smiles That Shine: Continuing the Oral Health Mission!

12 March 2026 - DepEd Tayo Besao CS commitment to keeping the learners’ smiles healthy continued.

Division Dentist Dr. Glory Angawa, Dental Assistant Noemi Chalinat, together with Nurses Bryl Masedman Dicdican and Erwin SB Bagsiyao, successfully carried on the dental activity that began last Tuesday.

The team provided dental sealant application, ART (Atraumatic Restorative Treatment), and tooth extraction, helping ensure that our pupils receive essential preventive and restorative dental care.

More than just treatment, the team also encouraged the learners to practice good oral health habits such as brushing their teeth at least twice a day, choosing healthier snacks, and taking good care of their teeth every day.

With teamwork, care, and a lot of bright smiles, BCS continued to promote strong teeth, healthy habits, and confident smiles for every learner.
