LOOK | PSA conducts Civil Registration Joint Consultative Workshop

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), through its Civil Registration Service (CRS), conducted a Joint Consultative Workshop to review and enhance proposed updates to key civil registration guidelines.

Held on 02 to 04 September 2026, the three-day activity gathered the Technical Working Group, composed of representatives from various PSA offices, including the CRS, Legal Service, and Regional Offices, along with representatives from the National Authority for Child Care (NACC), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs).

The workshop focused on reviewing, harmonizing, and strengthening the proposed guidelines and procedures on:

• Manual of Instructions on the Accomplishment of the Amended/New Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) and Office of the Civil Registrar General (OCRG) Form No. 101; and
• Revision of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 9858.

Through technical discussions and consultations among concerned agencies and civil registration partners, the workshop facilitated the finalization of guidelines that will help ensure the accurate, consistent, and lawful preparation and registration of civil registry documents, while promoting more standardized civil registration procedures nationwide.
