June 16, 2026 || The Baybay City District Jail, under the guidance and supervision of JSSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and the leadership of SJO4 Mark Anthony B Cabojoc, Acting District Jail Warden, joined the faithful in attending the Pontifical Mass held at the Binaybayon Convention Center Main Hall as part of the celebration of the 19th Charter Day of the City of Baybay.

Presided over by Most Rev. Precioso D. Cantillas, SDB, DD, the Eucharistic celebration served as a moment of thanksgiving for the countless blessings, milestones, and achievements bestowed upon the City of Baybay throughout its nineteen years as a chartered city. The Mass also offered prayers for continued guidance, wisdom, and unity among leaders and citizens as the city pursues sustainable growth and development.

Following the Mass, the Blessing of the Binaybayon Sports Complex and Convention Center was conducted, marking another significant milestone in the City's commitment to providing quality facilities that will serve as venues for community activities, sports development, and public gatherings. The blessing symbolized hope, growth, and the City's continued investment in projects that contribute to the welfare and advancement of its people.

Through its participation, the Baybay City District Jail reaffirmed its support for initiatives that foster spiritual enrichment, community solidarity, and the collective pursuit of a progressive and prosperous Baybay City.

June 16, 2026 || The Baybay City District Jail, under the guidance and supervision of JSSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and the leadership of SJO4 Mark Anthony B Cabojoc, Acting District Jail Warden, participated in the celebration of the 19th Charter Day of the City of Baybay held at the Binaybayon Convention Center Main Hall, Baybay City, Leyte.

The celebration brought together government officials, agencies, stakeholders, and members of the community in a meaningful gathering that highlighted Baybay City's remarkable achievements, ongoing development initiatives, and future plans for sustainable growth. June 15, 2026 || Baybay City District Jail - under the guidance and supervision of JSSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and the leadership of SJO4 Mark Anthony B Cabojoc, Acting District Jail Warden, participated in the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at Baybay City Hall, Baybay City, Leyte.

The activity was participated in by officials, employees, and personnel from different local and national government agencies, promoting unity, collaboration, and a collective dedication to serving the community. This also highlights the Bureau’s continued adherence to the values of patriotism, discipline, solidarity, and commitment in carrying out its mandate and public service responsibilities.

June 13, 2026 || The Baybay City District Jail, under the guidance and supervision of JSSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and the leadership of SJO4 Mark Anthony B Cabojoc, Acting District Jail Warden, actively participated in the Bubble Fun Run held in celebration of the 19th Baybay City Charter Day Anniversary at Baybay City Hall, Baybay City, Leyte.

The event commenced with an energetic Zumba warm-up session, allowing participants to stretch, exercise, and prepare for the run while fostering enthusiasm and camaraderie among the attendees. The activity brought together participants from various government agencies, private organizations, civic groups, and community stakeholders in a vibrant display of unity, camaraderie, and support for the continued progress and development of Baybay City.

Before the start of the event, organizers conducted a comprehensive briefing to ensure the safety and orderly participation of all runners. Participants were oriented on the designated route, event guidelines, and safety reminders while being encouraged to uphold sportsmanship and discipline throughout the activity.

The Bubble Fun Run served as a meaningful platform for promoting health and wellness, encouraging physical fitness, and strengthening partnerships among agencies and stakeholders. Through its participation, the Baybay City District Jail reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to fostering a healthy, disciplined, and community-oriented workforce while supporting programs that promote public service, solidarity, and civic engagement.

June 12, 2026 || The Baybay City District Jail, under the guidance and supervision of JSSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and the leadership of SJO4 Mark Anthony B Cabojoc, Acting District Jail Warden, jail unit personnel effectively carried out the Weekly Values Restoration Program.

The activity was led by JO1 Honey Jean D. Ramos, Permanent Bookkeeper.

Value Focus of the Week: 𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘

JO1 Ramos shared that availability is more than physical presence; it encompasses an individual's readiness, willingness, and responsiveness to perform assigned duties and responsibilities whenever needed.

The discussion served as a venue for reflection and sharing of insights among personnel regarding the practical application of the value of availability in their daily work and interactions. Through the discussion, participants gained a deeper appreciation of the role of availability in fostering discipline, integrity, responsibility, and excellence in the performance of their duties.

Hunyo 12, 2026 || Ang Baybay City District Jail, sa ilalim ng gabay at pangangasiwa ni JSSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD, Regional Director ng Jail Bureau, at sa pamumuno ni SJO4 Mark Anthony B Cabojoc, Acting District Jail Warden, ay nakiisa sa Seremonya ng Pag-aalay ng Korona bilang paggunita sa ika-128 Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas na ginanap sa Baybay City Hall, Baybay City, Leyte.

Kasama ang mga opisyal ng lokal na pamahalaan, mga miyembro ng uniformed services, at mga kinatawan mula sa iba't ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan at mga stakeholder, nagbigay-pugay ang jail unit sa katapangan, makabayang diwa, at mga sakripisyo ng ating mga bayani na naging daan upang makamtan ng sambayanang Pilipino ang kalayaan at kasarinlang tinatamasa natin ngayon.

Itinampok ng seremonya ang sama-samang paninindigan ng komunidad na pangalagaan at itaguyod ang mga pagpapahalagang makabayan, pagkakaisa, at responsableng pagkamamamayan. Sa pangunguna nina City Mayor Jose Carlos L. Cari at City Vice Mayor Ernesto M. Butawan, nag-alay ng mga korona ang mga kalahok na ahensya sa bantayog ni Dr. Jose P. Rizal bilang taimtim na pagpapakita ng pasasalamat at paggalang sa mga bayaning naghandog ng kanilang buhay para sa kalayaan ng bansa.

Sa pamamagitan ng pakikilahok nito, muling pinagtibay ng Baybay City District Jail ang pangako ng Bureau of Jail Management and Penology na patuloy na palawakin ang kamalayang makabansa, itaguyod ang pananagutang sibiko, at suportahan ang mga makabuluhang programang pinangungunahan ng pamahalaan na nagpapalakas ng pagkakaisa at pagmamalaki bilang mga Pilipino.

Hunyo 12, 2026 || Ang Baybay City District Jail, sa ilalim ng gabay at pangangasiwa ni JSSUPT RILL F SONON, DSC, JD, Regional Director ng Jail Bureau, at sa pamumuno ni SJO4 Mark Anthony B Cabojoc, Acting District Jail Warden, ay buong pagmamalaking nakikiisa sa sambayanang Pilipino sa paggunita ng ika-128 Taon ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas.

Ang gawaing ito ay pagpupugay sa katapangan, sakripisyo, at hindi matatawarang pagmamahal sa bayan ng mga bayaning Pilipino na nakipaglaban para sa ating kalayaan. Sa ating pagdiriwang ng makasaysayang okasyong ito, nawa’y patuloy nating parangalan ang kanilang pamana sa pamamagitan ng pagtataguyod ng pagkakaisa, katatagan, nasyonalismo, at responsableng pagkamamamayan.

Ating alalahanin na ang kalayaang ating tinatamasa ngayon ay bunga ng mga sakripisyo ng mga naunang henerasyon. Sama-sama nating pangalagaan at higit pang palakasin ang diwa ng kalayaan upang maipamana ito sa mga susunod na salinlahi.
