Today, the Visayas State University - Reserve Officers' Training Corps Unit (VSU-ROTCU) joins the entire nation in commemorating the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence: a celebration of the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism of the Filipinos who fought for our freedom.

As we embrace this year's theme, "Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.", we are reminded that the freedom won by our heroes shapes the future we build and the history we continue to write. The story of our nation is not confined to the past; it lives on through every act of service, leadership, and commitment to the nation and the Filipino people.

As members of the VSU ROTC Unit, may we continue to uphold the values of honor, patriotism, and duty, ensuring that the legacy of our forebears inspires generations to come.

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
Mabuhay ang Kalayaan!

"In this Unit, we are proud to salute each other." - Max Vill

On the afternoon of 18 April 2026. Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception ROTCU Unit held its 15th training day at the FCIC Open court. The activity was conducted under the leadership of MAJ GERARDO D TIU JR PA(RES), with the support of the ROTC coordinator Mrs. Glen E Visto MPA, under the supervision of Sgt Arjay M Flores PA (Res). Together with the training staffs, GMA and Advance officers.

The activity began with the formation of participants, followed by attendance checking and a rank inspection to ensure that everyone was present, properly organized, and in correct uniform. This established order and readiness for the tasks ahead.

Afterward, the group proceeded with the rehearsal for graduation. Participants were guided through the sequence of the ceremony, practicing their movements, timing, and roles to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated program.

A short break was then given, allowing everyone to rest and regain energy before continuing with the activities.

Following the break, the rehearsal resumed. Participants continued refining their performance, focusing on accuracy, discipline, and coordination to meet the expected standards for the graduation ceremony.

Once the rehearsal was completed, the group carried out polishing and cleaning of the area. This ensured that the surroundings were orderly, presentable, and prepared for the actual event.

Afterward, attendance was conducted once again along with the final accounting to confirm that all participants were present and properly accounted for.

The activity concluded with final announcements, where important reminders and instructions were given. This was then followed by the formal dismissal of all participants.
