128TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2026 🇵🇭

Baybay City, Leyte - June 12, 2026 – Baybay City Fire Station personnel, headed by FSINSP BENITO GUNDELINO G ELONA, J.D., Acting City Fire Marshal, actively participated in the commemoration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day Celebration, honoring the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Filipino heroes who fought for our freedom.

TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY

Baybay City, Leyte - June 11, 2026 - Baybay City Fire Station personnel, headed by FSINSP BENITO GUNDELINO G ELONA, J.D., Acting City Fire Marshal, actively participated in the Tree Planting Activity held at Barangay Patag, Baybay City, Leyte in celebration of 128th Philippine Independence Day and Philippine Environment Month with other agencies and Local Government Unit of Baybay City, Leyte.

The activity aimed to promote environmental protection, strengthen coastal preservation efforts, and encourage community participation in safeguarding the environment. It also highlighted the importance of cooperation among various agencies and stakeholders in supporting environmental sustainability and disaster risk reduction initiatives within the community.

Thereafter, a formal turnover of duties and responsibilities and monthly meeting was conducted between the outgoing and incoming duty personnel. This process ensured continuity of operations, proper dissemination of instructions, and readiness of all units for any emergency response.

BRIGADA ESKWELA

Baybay City, Leyte - In support of the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela 2026, the personnel of Baybay City Fire Station, under the leadership of FSINSP BENITO GUNDELINO G ELONA, J.D., Acting City Fire Marshal, actively participated in various school preparedness activities throughout the week.

The team visited Baybay City Senior High School, Gabas Integrated School, Mapgap Integrated School, and Ciabu National High School, where they assisted in ensuring that the schools are safe and ready for the opening of classes. As part of their commitment to public safety, the deployed personnel also conducted Fire Safety Inspections to assess fire hazards, verify the functionality of fire safety measures, and promote a safer learning environment for students, teachers, and staff.

The Baybay City Fire Station remains steadfast in its mission of safeguarding lives and properties through proactive fire prevention efforts and community engagement.
