BNEO SEMINAR 2024 | MARCH 07 & 08, 2024
Participants include Punong Barangay, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson, Sangguniang Barangay Members, Barangay Treasurer, and Barangay Secretary joins Barangay Newly Elected Officials (BNEO) Seminar towards Grassroots Renewal and Empowerment for Accountable and Transparent (GREAT) Barangays Program, held on March 7 & 8, 2024 at Avelino Resort and Hotel, Basista, Pangasinan.
The program is designed in recognition of the extensive role of the barangays in delivering basic services to their constituents, and at the same time, acting as the link between the national government and the people. With this enormous expectation from the barangay, there is a need to provide capacity development interventions for the barangays and barangay officials, especially because most of them have limited capacity in performing their mandated tasks and responsibilities.
Generally, the program aims to capacitate the newly-elected barangay officials to enable them to perform their mandated tasks and responsibilities and build a continuum of capacity development framework for actions anchored on the basic tenets of good governance such as transparency, accountability, and integrity, and participatory governance and corruption free communities.
