The Municipality of Bauko extends its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of our kakailyans who tragically lost their lives in the vehicular accident in Kabayan, Benguet on Thursday morning. What was meant to be a day of joy and celebration has turned into a time of profound grief for our entire municipality.
Our hearts are heavy for sorrow for our lost brothers and children, and with profound sorrow, we announce that out of respect for their families during this difficult times, their names will not be disclosed.
We lift our prayers to the Almighty for the eternal repose of their souls, and we pray that their families find strength, comfort, and peace during this incredibly painful time.
We also ask the community to join us in fervent prayer for the survivors who are currently injured or recovering from the trauma. We pray not just for their physical healing and swift recovery from their injuries, but also for their mental and emotional well-being as they process this deeply traumatic event.
To ensure our people were brought home and cared for, Mayor Randolf T. Awisan, together with Vice Mayor Ashley Sili and members of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB), GSO and MDRRMO personnel personally traveled to Kabayan, Benguet to help coordinate, oversee operations, and retrieve the bodies of our deceased kakailyans.
In the face of this tragedy, we witnessed the true spirit of solidarity and binnadang. We would like to express our profound gratitude to everyone who immediately extended a helping hand:
