‼️OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

We regret to inform everyone that the Bawanta Basketball Summer League Opening scheduled for April 5, 2026 has been cancelled due to the current situation. 💔

This decision was not made lightly, as we recognize the time, effort, and preparation invested by our players, teams, organizers, and supporters. We understand the anticipation surrounding this event and sincerely appreciate the continued enthusiasm and support from the community.

While the league will not proceed as planned, we remain hopeful for the opportunity to resume the league at a more appropriate time. Further updates will be provided once conditions allow.

We encourage everyone to stay safe and continue supporting the spirit of sportsmanship within our community.

LOOK: As part of our december ganap for the youth and as we are celebrating Linggo ng Kabataan in our barangay, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Bawanta together with the Kabataang Bawanta, proudly joined the Opening of the Inter-Barangay Basketball Tournament (Mayor’s Cup) organized by the SK Federation of Bauang.

LOOK: As part of the Linggo ng Kabataan (LNK) Celebration of Barangay Bawanta, the Sangguniang Kabataan successfully conducted the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly last December 2025 at Bawanta National High School.

Along with the assembly, school supplies were distributed to indigent students and the kabataan of Barangay Bawanta, a simple initiative with a meaningful impact.

Last December 2025, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Bawanta joyfully celebrated the Christmas season through aSK Santa, celebration for kids at the daycare center as part of our Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration.

A fun-filled Christmas party for our chikitings complete with games, gifts, tokens, and lots of food sharing smiles, laughter, and holiday cheer with the kids of Barangay Bawanta.

Get ready to showcase your skills and represent our community in the Inter-Barangay Youth Cup!

🔥 TRYOUT DETAILS 🔥
📅 When: November 14, 2025 (Friday), 6:00 PM
📍 Where: Bawanta Elementary School Covered Court

👥 Who Can Join:
• Bonafide residents of Barangay Bawanta.
• Players who are 15–30 years old.
• Players aged 17 and below must submit a parent’s consent form.

🎽 What to Bring:
— Proper basketball jersey and shoes
— Your own water and essentials (e.g. towel, extra shirt)

🎓 Good news, Kabataan of Barangay Bawanta! 🌟

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Bawanta is still accepting applicants for our SK Scholarship Program a project dedicated to helping indigent but deserving students pursue their dreams through education. This is for Senior Highschool and College students💙

📚 Education is one of the most powerful tools to uplift lives, and this program aims to ensure that no youth is left behind because of financial challenges. Beneficiaries will undergo a screening and assessment process to ensure that every slot is granted to those who truly deserve it.

Let’s continue to value education and work together in building a brighter future for our community. 🌟
Because when the youth is empowered through learning, the whole barangay moves forward. 🙌
